Have to say Luton away is a free pass for Mick and the lads in my opinion. Sure, I'd love us to win but waayyy more bothered about the league.

Good chance for us to shuffle the deck here - some clearly need minutes, others a well deserved rest.

Perhaps Nydam will get the opportunity Mr Downes was given vs Brum for this.

I can see us giving 4-4-2 a bash here with Rowe / Celina / McGoldrick / Webster / Gerken / Kenlock all getting 90.

Line up predictions, thoughts? I think we'll play alright but lose - 2-0. Honestly couldn't care less, bring on Barnsley.

I still don't get people's attitude towards the cup competitions. It's the first round, after one league game ffs. How can we have more important issues atm? Wins breed confidence, and if all of the squad can get playing time, the better it'll be for us long term.
I want us to win every game whilst we're still challenging for something, be it the league, the t's cup or the league cup.

Each to their own Stretchy but with five games in a short period after the summer I honestly couldn't give a lot of care for this. Don't get me wrong, I'd like us to win and progress however not bothered if we don't.

I think we should have a good balance between youth and experience, and rightly use this match as an opportunity for players to get match fitness.

I'm not overly sure how ready the likes of Huws and Adeyemi are for this match, so I'd probably go into it with this formation and starting eleven:

Should imagine you're quite close with that line up - McDonnell though I think is done with us and not sure Downes will be risked again.

Have to see how we fair.

Cheers SD, but I've found the app... search for EFL in App Store then choose the Ipswich app. The commentary works fine too. 1-0 COYB!

I know it's only been one league match and one cup match against a team two divisions below us, but I wonder how many of you will change your thoughts on the season. Looking a little more promising?

Not often we can boast about winning the first two games of the season. Hell, it's not often we can boast about winning two games in a row regardless!

Didn't watch or listen to the match, but I heard Downes had another great game. Encouraging to see McGoldrick among the goals and providing some competition up front.

Stretchy, I still remain a little cautious and refuse to get carried away. We've beaten an ordinary Birmingham side and a League Two team, so I'm not raising expectations quite yet. However, I admit there is a lot of positivity around Town at the moment and I think this arguably our most balanced and exciting squad for years.

We've got some tough, but winnable away games coming up against Barnsley and Millwall. If we can get six points out of six there, I'll be more inclined the jump on the bandwagon.

Waghorn seemed pretty lively too when he came on. It's all looking promising but we'll see.
