Hi guys

Firstly, well done on keeping your unbeaten run against us on Saturday. Obviously I didn't see it (other than highlights, which showed that either team could have won, but for the keepers), but as the 90 minute mark came, I was sitting here thinking the last thing Norwich needed was a replay, especially one at the Cottage which we are almost certain to lose.

How do you guys feel about another fixture? Is it something you could do without too? or is the prospect of an away game to Sheff Utd (and possibly beyond) enough to make it worthwhile perhaps?

Hello, it is unwanted for us too. I think like yourselves the priority is survival in the top flight. Myself and most of others in this forum we see this as another opportunity to give first team action to some of the U21's in view of bringing them up pretty soon. In that respect is a welcome fixture as will be an opportunity to see those guys as I missed the opportunity to travel

Good luck.

So, another reserve game is being offered <laugh> As you rightly point out though, it is an opportunity for the young guns to have a go. We had the two Murphey's on the pitch (not at the same time - shame really), with Josh getting his first start of the season. The commentators were waxing lyrically about him, so that bodes well. I dare say he will start in the reply too, so if you go, keep an eye on him - he is a real prospect <ok>

All the best

Fair play to the lad Murphy he looks a prospect but he was up against our Zverotić - who shouldn't be on the pitch at all. Shockingly poor.

Welcome back TC,
for me this is a wanted fixture due to reasons already expressed, it will be good to see some of the young guns again.
more games for Dan Burns can only be a good thing also Christensen and Plumain can do with being around the first team abit more.
i think giving our young players games can only help us come end of the season we might need a bit of youth and their energy,

As stated by others this is a wanted fixture for us guys but it will only be wanted to play our youngsters and a few fringe players needing a bit of match practice.
If your not aware there were rumours within our club that part of Jol's downfall was his refusal to give our talented youth team players a chance annoyingly to our youth team coaches! Fulham fans have been calling for some of the youth to be played for ages so it was great to see four debuts on Saturday against you guys, I fully expect the same four players to play in the replay plus Dembele so five youngsters and a few reserve players.

With a League one side (albeit a hard one) in the next round I would love to progress and chuck the young guys in again in round four

What he said.

Then again, as I've mentioned several times before, my brother-in-law is a Norwich fan, so I really want us to win this one.

Something which may make this fixture even less attractive is the Club's cofirmation that the 4th round tie against Cloughie's Sheffield Utd is to be televised by BT - on Sunday 26th January kick off 1pm!!. By the good devices of the PL fixture fixers we have an away game at Swansea on Tuesday 28th January kick off 7.45!!

Presumably if we get through against Norwich, the Swansea game will be put back 24 hours??? Still makes it a fixture nightmare and as always, an even bigger nightmare for the travelling fans.

Madness!!
