I often tell the kids i coach that football is 'as easy a game as you make it' and above all to enjoy it! Now i know the gap between amateur and professional footy is huge but the same rules apply. We didn't make it easy for ourselves and hence obviously didn't enjoy it!! We all know that green didn't want to let that slip under him like mackie didn't want to miss from 2 yards! Mistakes are made and it as it stands now isn't as bad as even i first thought. I have had time to reflect and read various posts and above all else the last thing this squad needs is US as fans on their backs. I didn't agree with Hughes selection or tactics prior to kick off but im not manager nor privy to any info about injuries or match fitness etc which dictates selection and formation. Football is all about opinions and who's to say that the tactics although wrong against the swans might be just what we need against another opposition. I once went to a coaching seminar held by Steve Clarke (now wba manager) and he told us sometimes you look at who you play not how you play and i think that is very true in a league of this standard!
Exactly, and if you put players with football intelligence on the pitch in the right places you will win games. It will come right for us, sooner than later. Rest assured.
Well Nines, how confident are you that MH will improve our away form this season? As I know you raised this question several times during the end of last season.
We're joint top for number of shots with man city on 20 so we're creating chances. Create chances and you will score. The team need time to gel and will come good.
Well said I will add that confidence is the greatest power in football ... Anyone see how Swansea grew. Loftus Road is usually a massive confidence booster for our team ... with it we can defeat anyone there . Being over confident or wound up to try too hard often back fires sometimes in spectacular ways. The force we had in the first half should show anyone that we can play and we have talented players Little ifs ... Our chances what if they had gone in Can anyone on here say that Swansea wouldn't of buckled? The **** on this forum that many are eating is making those of who eat it sick. Not me condesending I am not just trying to always push back the balance to recovery... I was a good football Captain in my time because I never knew when I was beat and we went on recently as veterans unbeaten for seven years until a week last Sunday ... Not bad for a team with a average age of 46 and four members dead now ... Only excuse in fact why we lost in the final as 2 players died in the last year ! My point is you need to believe and push through I didn't see our players give up Saturday I don't expect them to ever. You move on in life the quicker you smash a set back the quicker you get back to normal .... Worry worry worry does nothing and is Monkey Mind at its worse ... No points after 5 games bring it on and I still know we will finish 6th
Agreed DT. Had we hit the first goal, we would have had a Swansea team doubting themselves. Had we hit a second, who's to say they wouldn't have capitulated in the same way? We didn't, they did and we're the team that didn't show the backbone and confidence. All off for the morning sermon from Mooji... Monkey mind anyone????
Well said again I am not sure we looked enough into the new Swansea what did you make of the way they sat back and soaked? Master stroke ? Knowing we would come hard and cocky? I seriously like the fact that they mixed it up direct quick passing on the break and after they broke us they kept the ball well ... Last season 5 passes when one would have done under Landrup they look like they have teeth Their passing pass is embedded naturally and I think Landrup may adds new dimension... We weren't bad at times and I hate the fact that people can't see beyond the scoreline QPR going forward will IMO smash a few teams up and it was nice to read that a Swansea fan on here . Both sides were surprised and I sincerely look forward to watching the swans progress ... I support QPR but I love football and the Swans must have the credit they truly deserve Boring boring Swansea some on here chanted and preached ... How do those people feel now?
