I actually think we have forgotten how to enjoy a success

Its all analysis and not enough wax lyrical..

I mean, its not surprising. The last 4 years have been a sobering experience, mostly, for Bristol City supporters.
Lets really hope that the corner is turned and we are on the way up.

I can only hope we get behind the manager, particularly when we lose (and we will), because I think he's a good one

With you all the way brightred and let's hope we can finally enjoy a successful season and follow it up with another.

The attitude (if not always the skill) was markedly different yesterday to what we've seen over the past few years.

The whole team seemed more focused and if we can develop and sustain a siege mentality and never say die attitude then it will stand us in good stead for the next 45 games.

What I like about Cotts is his endless enthusiasm and I don't reckon he's someone you'd want to cross.

A real change has come over Ashton Gate in the last nine months.

The cosmetic side with a new stadium, the new pitch with under soil heating, Desso pitch and the arrival of ground sharing Bris Rugby are the easily visible things.

But the attitude of the squad which SC is building and their mindset is something we have not seen at City for a long time. I hesitate to put a date on that but it is beginning to remind me of AD's era, TC's resurrection from Div 4 and JJ's team of 89
The reports of yesterdays match by various Sheff U supporters really made me sit up when they talked about the strength of our team, that we pushed hard to the limits allowed by the referee.

In a phrase, have we finally become "Those dirty Northern bastards" that we have all detested over the years as they grind out another win over us?

I did watch the game on sky, but thought for the first time in a long time, that we actually looked like a football team. Some of the football we were getting at the start of last season was embarrassing at times. We do need to keep that momentum going as like Cotterill said, there are 45 more to go- That said, I feel more positive and buoyant than I have for a good number of years.

Just a point about the ref yesterday, and I am no lover of refs,- I thought he was excellent. Just wish that standard was consistent too- Some of them really do make me wonder.

Takes some bottle to issue two yellows to the home team for diving. And not to be swayed by the baying hoardes for an accidental collision between Little and their full back.
