Never forget why we're having this discussion and how badly this play out to the female supporters of this club, to all the women playing the game under our banner and the millions of supporters worldwide. There is no wriggle room, no room for sentiment, this can't grow into something we let slide by until the court judgement. we must take action now, and if we need to pay recompense later on, so be it, rather that than doing anything that could be construed as being in any way supportive of this piece of ****.
I've given it zero thought. I think of the mighty George Best and Cristiano Ronaldo. Even Rooney had his moments in 2010 when Fergie had to come out publicly to deal with him. Flawed geniuses of the game. The rest is immaterial.
We've shown we're better than Spurs and Chelsea. West Ham, Aston Villa and Fulham before the world cup, win those and then take a nice break.
We've shown we're better than Arsenal as well as it goes. Long way to go yet, but the immediate target of top four looks in hand and no reason to not aim higher.
Worrying concern (again) is our 0 goal difference. Same old same old, but hopefully it will play out in our favour as the season wears on.
Roy Keane is essentially just defending his own attitude to when he left United himself. Bollocks most if it. Neville is bang on.
Add Sheriff and Real Sociedad. Feeling much more confident about those games than a few weeks ago. The only concern is fatigue atm for some of the players and no doubt Varane also being out.
Well yes, but they don't play in the league. I was refering to league games and our position in it currently. The EL games will be good to give Varane's potentials stand in's games. Maguire needs to get fit. And Tuanzebe.
Yeh I know you weren't which is why I said 'add' and the fact we can take a good break after all of those. Although we would probably beat a 3rd placed side if needed in the Europy we could do without the extra game.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63389419 A determined Ronaldo wanting to prove a point and get fit for the world cup can only be an asset. No way does this bloke just sulk and not try.
As last night proved. One of the most impressive things about last night was how the situation had clearly been dealt with and put to bed. Ten Hag is not in any way undermined, we know who's in charge, and Ronaldo is clearly just there to score goals when he plays. Win win.
Ronaldo accepted he was in the wrong. And as he needs the minutes to get him fit for the WC, it would have been a case of cutting his nose to spite his face. And this whole episode has coincidentally strengthened TH’s hand. He may be the greatest footballer but he still needs to work within a team.
