Soccertex finds United have wasted most money in England http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-than-any-Premier-League-side-since-2013.html
This is just subjective. Why is the money spent on Fellaini wasted when he is still playing for the team. How do they know how he will perform? Ronaldo was a useless show pony, wasn't he? My subjective view is that no club can get near Chelsea. One title in 5 years and that was down to playing park the bus football. Terry was the main man - and he cost nowt, yet billions were pissed away on forwards or attacking midfielders who don't register in Mourinho's gameplan. That's "waste", surely?
I can see why the Spuds are up near the top with players like Soldado and Lamela (don't forget Capoue, Paulinho also). They spunked almost £120m up the wall a couple of seasons ago when they lucked out with the Bale money. I don't think Fellani has been a flop, although he's not the most graceful of players and LVG's hoofball must have the likes of Matt Busby turning in his grave, he's fairly effective for the style of play that LVG wants. And calling Callum Chambers a flop is simply bollocks, the kid is only 19, has already made a valuable contribution to Arsenal's first team and won his first senior England cap. In an landscape of few decent England CB's, Chambers is definitely one for the future.
What a shocking post! I had no idea you'd jump on the anti spurs wagon with this one. This report selects the one summer we'd be that high. It was a very unusual situation with all that money coming from one player and the players we bought were highly thought of. Lamela was great for Roma and Soldado had a top record in Spain. The way it turned was a freak and won't be repeated and isn't typical of the usual way we conduct our business. And Chambers in nearly 21 and seemingly going backwards, so is a fair inclusion if Lamela (23) is.
Nah, you spunked the Bale money as well as the Modric money and the Berbarov money. Levy lucks out on some sales and then goes and pisses that money up the wall, every time.
Its clearly Chelsea since 2003 and Leeds before that. And why choose 2013 of all years If anyone questions the utter contempt I have for the British press, then see this article.
You were about to offload Bale to Birmingham for something like £6m. You definitely lucked out with the transfer money in the end. Shame you spunked the lot though
its a bullshit article trying to be controversial. you might have well said last season and said Di Maria and that's it. if your going to do it go back to '92 and do it properly
I'd love to see a table showing which club has spunked away the most amount of money on player/manager wages but yet never winning either the Prem (in 8 seasons) or the CL (ever). That would be a fascinating article! I wonder who would top that "mugs' charter?"
