Its better this way...gives more incentive to prove the doubters wrong. Also if he watched the charity/community shield match he would see Man City have their problems.

Well if Keane thinks we're completely out of the race, then we've got a good chance of winning it. Let's face it, he can't exactly compare himself with the likes of Ferguson or Dalglish when it comes to judging a team.

Who on earth takes any notice of the ramblings of someone that walked out on their own country just before a world cup? He hasn't got a full deck. He would never have spoken like he did say Alex Ferguson like he did to Mick McCarthy. He said and I quote ''You were a **** player,a **** manager and a **** person, and you're not even ****ing Irish, you English ****''.

I'm not sure why most if not all are dismissing Keanes comments. I don't feel he has said anything harsh about Liverpool in his assessment. In fact I do agree with him that we are not quite there yet to wrestle the title away from United. He has acknowledged that we have bought some good players and have the right manager in charge...and like every LFC fan, a top 4 position is our realistic priority. The title would be dream and just as at the beginning of every other season, it is what we strive for (except under Roy).

He's yet another ''pundit'' and being an ex Man United player he's putting a dampener on our hopes. If he said Liverpool have a chance of being champions expect him to be disowned by the Govan overlord. Its a rehearsed speech and he only said what he said to ensure he keeps favour with his old boss.

While Keane has shown us that his managerial skills are somewhat limited and that he is prone to making the odd inflammatory remark, I have a lot of time for him for what he did for Irish Football.

Telling McCarthy where to go was a watershed in the administration of Irish football, and they are bet off for it because of him. McCarthy managed the whole world cup trip appallingly, Keane told him so and was sent home by McCarthy (Keane didn’t walk out).

However his comments today will act as an incentive for Liverpool and all the other ones he has written off, we will all see next May.

It's hardly a surprise though is it! Backing Man Utd is obvious and the safe (and possibly right) option. But he's just a psycho and a crap manager and it has been great watching him fail.I mean why would anyone want to play for him is beyond me..but then again thats probably why he has been sacked so often.
