"Sir Alex Ferguson has told friends that Manchester United will beat City and Juventus in the race to sign Arsenal captain Robin van Persie in a £20m deal." (Source: Daily Mirror) Wouldn't that be superb! Mind you, I still think that £20 million is too much.
with Berbatov possibly leving,Macheda possibly going out on loan and maybe Powell also then that would only leave us with Rooney,Hernandez and Welbeck. Would love it to be true but dont see it happening
This is just standard from fergie...he has no intention of buying Vap persie, he is merely making sure competition is hot, so City will probably end up throwing silly money to get him, Will probably be more like 25-30 rather than 20 no.... The real shocker for me is the fact that Fergie has friends
Bloody hell, What a night out that would be......Fergie, Allardyce, Bruce and Roy keane.... 1. A whole evning of events is planned, but Allardyce doesnt make it out of the all U can eat chinese Buffet. 2. Fergie doesnt get let ina bar for being too drunk...Even though Bruce tries to convince the bouncers he is always that red faced and you can never understand what he is talking about. 3. Bruce gets dragged off by paramedics thinking he has been hit hard in the face with a large blunt object...... 4. Roy keane bypasses the whole evenings activities and goes straight to the kebaby for a fight....
Utd to switch back to 4-3-3? Rooney - RVP - Nani with Young and Valencia for the wings, and Welbeck and Chiquarito in the middle as subs?
If you believe this story then you will believe anything. This is just BS by VP's agent to get City to panic and make sure they pay more.
£20 Million for a player on the last year of their contract is ridiculous. Hell, the 12 we (apparently) paid for Verts was way too much. If Arsenal are holding out for that, I'd personally tell vP to wait til next summer.
I meant like this: Rooney - RVP - Nani Carrick-Scholes-Anderson Evra - Evans-Vidic- Rafael ---------GK-------------- Subs - young and Valencia to replace rooney and nani Chiqarito or welbeck for RVP bit like the team that got to the champs league final Rooney - tevez - Ronaldo
The thing is, it's such an utterly pointless strategy - City's owners will just shrug at having to pay an extra £5-10m. Of course, the smart thing for Mancini to do would be to start circulating rumours of City's interest in Hernandez. Then we'd see how happy he really is to be behind Danny Wellbeck in the pecking order...
