I would expect a similar line up as last time with Wondo coming in for Altidore. Wondo is the better choice as a replacement. Johansson is more of a skill player who runs channels while Wondo is much more of a hold up player and someone who crashes the box. I think that Wondo and Dempsey will be a better combo than Johansson and Dempsey.

I think this one ends in a draw.

Yea. I think Germany will match up far better to us than they did Ghana. We dont have the speed or skill to expose the German defense. So it will be Germany with the ball and very little chance of counter attacks from us.

Gonna get everything emblazoned with Stars & Stripes in my possession out for this one.

So that's my pot of chip spice and bikini then.

    Go team USA!

The stars n stripes shouldn't even be on chip spice. Should be either the flag of Yorkshire or the Hull crest.

    Maybe Prezzas face.

Sorry but I want Portugal to win this. Any other result will leave Germany and the Americans knowing that a draw in their final match will put both of them through - and with Klinsmann as U.S. manager a 'friendship' match could occur.

Dont know what it is, but, cannot get too excited or emotionally involved with the USA team as I can England even though I am a United States citizen and have live here since 81.

Want them to win of course but if they lose or not qualify then it will not be the same as watching England get their early ticket home-still mourning that one.

Shame JA is not playing, that would have piqued my interest more, always a fan of his when he played at City and would have like him to score a few in this world cup to show some of his doubters that he has what it takes.

And a Norwegian. You don't have any Native Americans though, you should be renamed "Europe 2.0". Brilliant business idea, who else would have thought of that?

Like they say on ESPN. We are a nation of immigrants so the fact that we have players born outside the US actually makes it more of an American team than if everyone on the team was born here.

Actually there are 5 Germans, 4 born in Germany all 4 were raised in Germany not the US. All 5 have German mothers and American military fathers.

    Jermaine Jones
    Fabian Johnson
    Timmy Chandler
    John Brooks
Julian Green (was born in the US but has lived in Germany since he was 2)

    Iceland
Aron Johannsson (was born in the US to Icelandic parents and moved away from the US at the age of 3)

    Norway
Mikkel Diskerud (born and raised in Norway to a Norwegian father and an American mother)

There are also a number of players on the team that are eligible to play for Mexico and made the choice to play for the US.

The rational of us think that if we get out of the group it will have been an amazing achievement. The people who only watch the sport during the world cup will be pissed off if we dont win the whole tournament.

The team gets good coverage and there is a lot of excitement about it. It is really confined to those who watch the sport regularly and those who just care about the US in general and will watch anything that involves the US getting to play another country.

This is one of the viewing parties in Chicago.

    Kansas City

    Columbus

Just about every city had a similar viewing party.
