Thiago according to the player wasn't approached despite what his agent says. Also didn't think Herrera snubbed Utd but rather Utd pulled out. The piece you quote from supporting your theory says Utd pulled 'the plug on Monday evening'. <applause> Well done Sherlock. Another well thought out thread.
 
At the crux of the matter is that Football Clubs should employ football people, cause as a business, it's like no other. Look how much we pissed away because of non football people getting involved.

But to be fair to Moyes, he was appointed so late in the day (may), he did not have time to plan things.

You're delighted with Jose! Really? He failed to get Rooney who was his main target despite doing all he could to unsettle him and Utd, ended up with a free signing who years ago publicly slatted your club, loaned out one of your few first team strikers as well as another forward in Moses and signing as many midfielders as he possibly could making your squad incredibly unbalanced. Then again Jose doesn't believe in centre forwards since packing the midfield and parking the bus is the type of sexy football loves Roman loves <ok>
