Set up my team but in the team its showing Cole as centre back and Kompany as LB. I have tried to move positions but it wont let me change it.
managed to fit RVP, Rooney, Kompany, Nani and Ashley Cole into the same squad. Should all get me a fair few points lol.
Positions do not matter, as Style said. You don't need two fullbacks and two centerbacks, you could have 5 leftbacks in your squad if you wanted to. (fullbacks usually get a few assists so are generally a better bet than centerbacks). Likewise you don't need a holding midfielder type in midfield, try to go for guys that are going to get goals & assists...
You win some you lose some Swarbs... 28 points... At least your name passed the censors though! I shouldn't laugh, I only did marginally better. 37 points, soon to be 36 as my sub (Fabio) scored -1, that just shows what loyalty costs me.
Oh, Alan and UIR, I see you guys will only join from week 2. Note that you can make unlimited transfers until the matches start on Saturday, so make sure you put in all those cheap players (like the Swansea & Fulham ones) that scored well and seem to be regular starters for their clubs.
Yeah I had the same problem last year, I missed the first three weeks and only joined in week 4! So I missed out on 100 or so points, which sucks... But you get to pick your team knowing who the form players are, which helps quite a bit and enables you to catch up eventually. (Many players end up having 2 or 3 players in their team who are never regular starters, so it takes them weeks and weeks to finally transfer them out for better players). I ended up coming about 12th in a pool of 32 players so hopefully missing out on one week's scoring won't handicap you guys too much.
There's no pint joining halfway through the season mate, you'll start on 0 points and everyone else will have over 1000 points... Besides, there's this guy called Tennisball who's beating EVERYONE
I'm flying, having RVP as captain most of the season defintely didn't hurt Although I just played my wildcard and it backfired horribly...
