This is a non contest. Jose has BA Moyes right were he wants him.

If Manu do sell us Rooney then Moyes looks a pr!ck as he said he wouldn't be sold.
If ManU don't sell Rooney then they are stuck with a valuable asset getting a huge wage and not playing which makes Moyes look a pr!ck.

  4. The news I heard on TalkSport is that United will do a deal for Rooney at £25 million + Mata.

I think there is a real chance that the Russian could go for that.

Not sure that most Chelsea fans would see it as a good deal, though. Jason Cundy didn't, even though he was the one who mooted the possibility that the deal could happen.

So despite the fact that Chelsea FC and Jose have categorically stated no players will be involved from us you believe talksport and Jason Cundy <doh>

  6. Believe what? That TalkSport had this as a news item?

What's to believe? It was news on TalkSport!

Jason Cundy's point (when he reacted to the news) was that Mata might not necessarily fit into Mourhino's style of play, whereas Rooney would, so it made sense to Jason Cundy (who is, after all, a CFC legend) that it wasn't beyond the realms of all possibility that the Russian would consider using Mata+cash to get Rooney.

You do realise, don't you, CPofL, that all of this is mere speculation pumped out by the media for us fans to use as discussion points in the name of entertainment? None of it is necessarily real, you do realise that, don't you, CPofL? And you do realise that I don't necessarily believe the bullshit that is pumped out on these programs, but merely use it to enter into the spirit of debate that the so-called "news" is attempting to engender? You do realise all of that, don't you, CPofL?

My mistake Herbert, I thought the line "I think there is a real chance that the Russian could go for that." was yours and obviously if that was your line then you would have to believe talksport and Cundy rather than Chelsea and Jose as I said.

It really does look like that was your line though and therefore my post was directed to you correctly. You do realize that don't you Herbert?

So then why did you write: I think there is a real chance that the Russian could go for that.

Were you thinking for yourself or brainwashed by Talksport? Can't believe you even listen to it let alone actually believe the ****e they talk

    I love Jose.

Saying that 2nd choice players should be thinking about the World Cup and how being 2nd choice at your club can damage your chances.

Brilliant Jose mind games. Unied used to have a manager who could pull them off as well; but now they are left with a guy who once won the 2nd div title with Preston.

Cant see utd selling Rooney to us for a proper fee, only a crazy fee. His wages are also way too high and will cause serious friction in our squad.arsenal might get him because of RvP going other way, but again wages are totally obscene, especially with Rooneys recent form.I'd make a fair offer to Utd ,offer a fair wage to rooney and walk away quickly if either **** around.
Trouble waiting to happen if we get it wrong.

I can't see Rooney playing for them again now with all that has been said. If they do keep him they will basically have an asset sitting on the bench getting a huge paycheck for doing nothing and wanting to do nothing. They should be happy to get his wage off the books for free let alone a big transfer fee too. It could play out until Aug 31st.

good link London's Only EC Winners

Perhaps Mourinho is still harbouring a smidgen of bitterness after being overlooked as the man to replace Ferguson as United manager.

  20. And yet when United issue a statement saying that Rooney is not for sale, you believe you'll still get him!

The opinion I hold and what news came out on TalkSport are not necessarily connected. On this occasion, I happen to agree with Cundy that it is possible (please note the word "possible") that Mourhino could be persuaded to exchange Mata (+ cash) for Rooney, as Rooney would be more useful to Mourhino and his style of play that would be Mata.

Rather than continue to pick fights with me for no reason other than that you appear to have a real chip on your shoulder with us mighty Spurs fans, you could, instead, choose to debate Cundy's point of view.
