To counter all the rubbish threads about United ruining the league, in fact, here is one which suggests that United is helping the premiership regain its prestige. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/sep/03/premier-league-big-money-spending-transfer
Can't be arsed to read some pro United piece but generally it's great for the league that we've lost Rat face and brought in some world class players into the league this year in Di Maria, Falcao, Costa, Fabregas and Sanchez.
Its great that the league as gained some quality players but losing Suarez isn't great. Maybe for our rivals it is but not for the league. I'd say the same no matter what team he played for. I don't give a **** about what he does beyond playing football, he was a joy to watch at times and exactly what (neutral like Tobes) fans should want to see. Obviously though, no one wants to see the biting etc though.
I can see your point but I think it reached the point that he was doing more harm than good and I'm personally glad to see the back of him. His antics are frankly more suited to Spain.
I read the press with a pinch of salt too. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground with them But trying to be as impartial as I can I can see how the movement of top players (ok very expensive) to the premiership can only enhance the perception of the EPL as a top league. The movement of proven top players in the last few years have only been one way: out of the EPL. Luiz, The rat, bale. This summer we have had Di Maria and Falcao, with others such as Sanchez and Costa. The likes of scudamore and the owners of premiership clubs will be salivating at the prospect of ever increasing TV rights and sponsorship deals
He hardly didn't anything wrong last season. He'd even cut the diving right down. He disgraced himself at the world cup, not in the PL. I was fed up with his antics the previous summer, hence me having a signature labeling him a **** (now reserved for Mario) throughout last season
tbf by his standards he was pretty clean last year - though wasn't it last year he was rolling around then you won the ball back then suddenly he was straight back on his feet sprinting to catch up play??? Norwich??
Just because he didnt bite or racially abuse anyone doesnt mean he was well behaved. Diving all over tye olace, ****ish tackles, play acting. Every game. Liverpool fans and the press started a 'our luis' is alright really' campaign.
It was but he was also out injured for a few days afterwards as well so I guess that one depends how you look at it; play acting to get something or determination to help the team despite injury.
On this yes. I watched the league last season and watched as he dived, cheated and was an alround **** while you guys deluded yourselves that saint suarez was a good little boy.
Indeed, laugh a minute last season, real boost on a rainy day. Been a couple of corkers so far this season as well. A real boost
Mario Balotelli is a c**t but he's unfortunately our c**t - Gerrez 22.08.14 Unfortunately ? Seems one is not too excited at the prospect ...
