I just find it funny that baby boomers get so uppity about the unions that helped them keep job security as their fight for the current workforce may impact on the babyboomer's retirement slightly. Thing is if it wasnt for the manufactured housing market which fuelled their standard of living increases and supplied their retirement nest eggs this situation would have been avoided. So while they enjoy a comfy retirement the current working generation will have to mop up the pieces of the housing crash, burdening themselves with massive debt at the same time, while never knowing the job security the babyboomers knew which the unions are desperately fighting for. Added to that the insult of also having to pay the for the inevitable cost to the health service as that demographic surge hits retirement age but continues to live for record lifespans.
Always makes me laugh when someone has a go at unions, yet as soon as there is any issues at work, what do most people look for? You may not be in a union, but you will want the support a union gives to its members, without them, all employees would be used and abused by employers.
Unions are the main problem with Britain, they're a bunch of ****s. I'm not part of a union, banned from joining one, wouldn't want to join one, and never been used or abused by my work.
They'll be picketing my office tomorrow ML11. Shouldn't be too bad though, they're only allowed 6 people outside at any one time . What a waste of time.
i was in a bit of **** at work once. i was a member of a union, and they were about as useful as a choc teapot. never been a member of one since and never will again. bunch of greedy ****ers
FAO SLEEPY I take it from your reply that you work in the public sector. Very well said just goes to show what a low life you are you are prepared to sit back and let other people fight your battles. One thing I am sure of you will take all the benefits going in your work place at the sacrifice of others
I'll look out for them. Did you see the people in pink t-shirts outside all the offices this morning handing out free stuff? There was a bird at the doors of my office in a tiny skirt and legs right up to her arse. I was considering taking up smoking just to stand and stare at her
]FAO SLEEPY I take it from your reply that you work in the public sector. No/Yes. It's a "Not For Profit" private company owned by the Government. I don't get benefits anything like the full public sector does. Very well said just goes to show what a low life you are you are prepared to sit back and let other people fight your battles. Fight my battles? What battles? Things are tight for everyone and I'm prepared to take my hit too. One thing I am sure of you will take all the benefits going in your work place at the sacrifice of others I don't know what you mean by that. Yes I'll take the benefits offered to me but how is that at the sacrifice of others? That was pretty aggresive repsonse to my post. All I said was that it's a bit silly to picket offices if only 6 people were allowed to do so. Not much point really.
It could have been that what you were being investigated for, had a consequence which no union could change, so the advice you were given was appropriate for the action. You may not have liked the response and thought they would "take it all away", which quite simply is wrong. Unions are there to support their members, this includes representing them throughout any issues at work, they are not there to make what the employee does wrong, go away. Unions carry out a massive amount of work to ensure that all employees (whether in an union or not) are free from exploitation from employers, sadly not everyone acknowledges this in the UK.
Damn, I missed them. Supposedly it was blokes in shorts at my work so it's probably a good thing i missed them. What were they handing out?
I think it was caramel shortcake, but I never got anything. There was a guy and a girl at both entrances to my office, and they took up pretty much the whole entrance. All the birds were stunning, but the one at mine in the skirt Stereo, it's simply to exaggerate long slender legs
Is the expression not usually "legs up to their shoulders"? I would imagine most women's legs go up to their arses
