I too would love it if we beat them. Everyone has that scouse mate who goes on about 2005 or king Kenny and wonders why everyone else doesn't cherish those memories as "greatest ever sporting moments".
Obviously when you say "scouse mate" I presume you mean all the people you grew up with at school in the 80's supporting Liverpool as they were winning everything in the same way that you can see loads of Man U and Chelsea kit being sported by the youth of our fair city with no doubt a load of Citeh to come in future seasons if and when they start winning things. I would love a win against Liverpool and I really hope our lads are up for it and get the citeh/Blackburn games out of the system. I'd also love us to relegate Villa but sadly I can't see this being on the cards.
Got to say and the start of the year I would have looked at this game and though Liverpool would win 2 or 3 nil, but looking at things at the moment I would say Norwich should win by at least 1 goal.
I think it's a bit different if the team in question is Liverpool because even off form they have amazing players. Plus, I don't think we have lost to too many teams at home, poor form of not. A few draws maybe though.
