Hi fellow Saints. Last night I allowed emotion to get the better of me and for the first time in my posting life I slagged off a fellow poster. One of the problems is that we forget that we posters have only one thing in common - we are Saints fans. What we try to do is to find common ground on the Scottish question; our response to Darlington being under threat; the Iraq war .... Thing is, what I find when I am with fellow Saints there is as wide a difference on all things non-Saints as you'd find in any other single issue group. Sure there are people on here who express similar views to mine but many of them are Pompey fans. Well there's a surprise. We really shouldn't expect to agree, and frankly there are people on here that I'd rather not be around come Saturday afternoon but we all come together for the one thing that binds us together - a totally irrational love of Southampton FC. So my apologies to my friend, Joey B, who works for "a financial institution". I'm sorry that I might have implied that you are a pimply youth selling dodgy car insurance. Clearly you are at the hub, and we should respect you accordingly. More to the point, perhaps none of us should seek to question either your credentials or allegedly objective view of the world but resolve to only discuss things with you that are Saints related. Have a good day. I'm just off for my next shift down t'pit (it's obligatory up north).
Very magnanimous of you and humility is a scarce commodity these days, especially when obtuse behaviour seems to be the norm.
Some very wise points mentioned there Channon but i would imagine that Joey B was not offended by you or any other posters here In my mind Joey B quite enjoyed his reactions from yesterday (whilst sat in his troll cave with his abacus) I salute Joey B and find his posts a welcome contrast in the same way i like it when an octogenarian relative says something particularly outragous during christmas dinner I have a look at the posts on here almost daily but don't post on here very often. Usually my opinion has already been offered by others so i refrain from repetition or simple agreement Joey B does not have this problem; he thinks outside the box in a way few of us can comprehend Thinking aloud now is our own Joey B one of Karl Pilkington's angrier long lost brothers perhaps?
As we're being so socialist on this post why doesnt someone apologise to that South American kid too...? Since when did Joey B become a "victim"?
you'll never catch me apologising to him - he is so negative i don't really want to deal with people like him anymore
I would never claim Joey was a victim, except in that I ranted at him on a personal level and I think that sort of behaviour is out of order. Given that he came back and called me a moron at the time would suggest that he was a) offended and b) arguably accurate! I don't quite see how apologising to someone to whom you make an offensive remark and then regret it can be termed socialist. Don't right wingers ever offer apologies? (Note right wing here is not a football term, before anyone tries to use it)
Never ever apologise and most certainly never explain. That is my motto. You'll all be saying sorry for being beastly to SB3 next.
You would be correct with your opening sentence, I really couldn't give a flying **** about what anyone on here says about me, I receive worse in my work environment... I really do not seek a reaction, all views are my own. I am far from negative, I am a realist. Just because I say a youngster isn't going to make it, doesn't make me negative. The latter, I am right most of the time. This.
how many on here has he called a twat, idiot or worse. some say turn the other cheek- I say treat him as he treats others. The guy is a douch bag, he would say he is being honest, but i lost any feelings for the guy when he said he could not give a flying **** about the people that recently lost thier jobs because it does not effect him. yet he says he is in the financial sector so it does effect you, stupid. hopefully with the coming downsizing in the financial sector you can taste some of the pain
