Hi everyone - first posting here. When I walked in and saw SSN announcing our 2 signings yesterday I didn't stop smiling for a couple of hours. I thought this is it, this is where we kick on to the end of the season. I thought we were making a real statement to the rest of the league.

And what happens? Torres this Torres that, and oh by the way Sunderland bought a couple of players, apparently on Sunday Supplement this morning 1 is from PSV!!!

Are we getting carried away by it all? Why is SSN and the rest of the press so underwhelmed by the news?

Liverpool are still one of the media darlings, despite them being on a downward spiral which doesn't look like stopping.
We are not: simple as that... As long as our players keep doing their talking on the pitch then I will be happy...:1980_boogie_down:

Sandy just ignore them, we will go on our way, improving the squad and getting better winning more games etc.

I understand your frustration Sandy, it does not seem fair but we know the rules. Any London club, one from Liverpool, no, not Everton. 2 from Manchester then we must not forget Newcastle up here. The rest of us are here to make the numbers up and it must be really annoying this season to see us, Bolton, Blackburn,Stoke all doing well.

When you look at Sunderland, forget the team, the supporters and even the manager. Look at the owner and chairman, an American owner who puts cash in and never interferes. Compare him to United and the old guard at Liverpool, wouldnt you expect someone to be saying look at this man, how he does it.

Look at Quinn and even Newcastle fans like him, the media, nothing.

Still mate, our gain is their loss.

You're probably right cyprus and to be realistic, we haven't achieved anything just yet! I should settle for keeping a low profile and let the big guys and the press continue to underestimate us. Hopefully come May they'll HAVE to take us seriously. Oh no, Pulis just confirmed we are still talking about Fuller!!
