Ocean colour scene - better than blur and oasis but often overlooked because they didn't talk **** about other bands at the time, as was the trend in the 90s

    Snap.

    They were very good though.

Not as good as Oasis imooc.

Nowhere near as good as The Verve. Again, IMO.

Not really my genre anymore though, so you can win this one if you like <ok>

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. For a 19 album band most people look at you blankly when you say the name. Nick is my favorite lyricist of all time. Nobody does ballads like the Bad Seeds.

Music ain't about winning Tel I was only being facetious.

I love both but always thought ocs were better musically but oasis had the better songwriter

Put Noel with ocs and you've got something special!

Thought you'd be one who didn't mind the Bad Seeds. Especially with their first band being The Birthday Party.

Its a tricky one. Underated. I like loads of so called weird bands. I would certainly rate yours above say the verve. Which defeat the object.

They are all popular which also renders my option of the specials, pretty much invalid.

    Under rated..

    Im struggling.

<laugh> johnny rotten. Its under rated not over rated mate. The false punk if London. Over hyped tosh. Barely punk. Only one lunk band rivals them in over hyped stakes. The clash.

Well it's about your own experiences init. Virtually everyone I know knows the Specials, and most massive fans. I only know two people(three including my ex who got me into them) who've ever heard of the Bad Seeds and appreciate them, they're punk mates from South Africa(most people they know love the Bad Seesds so they're not under rated to them). So whether a band is underrated or not surely is down to how well they're known and appreciated within your own personal social circles. No wrong Answers but surely everybody in this country certainly have heard of Blur, Oasis and the Charlatans. Mainstream Rock bands.
