http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-32716950 Three people have been arrested after reports of crowd trouble during the Manchester under-21s derby. A youth and a man were arrested on suspicion of assault and a youth was arrested after going on to the pitch, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. GMP said it went to Old Trafford at about 20:45 BST on Tuesday after receiving a call from a spectator. Manchester City fan Andy Savage, who was at the game with his son, said he witnessed "very, very ugly scenes". He said: "After half an hour, United fans were streaming in and the stewards were putting them closer and closer to our left, where we were being boxed in. "Fights broke out and basically it was a free-for-all. There were kids screaming in the City end." He added fans "were being kicked and trampled on and it was very, very ugly scenes". GMP confirmed it was examining CCTV footage from the ground and said the alleged violence took place in the north east stand. Manchester United has not commented on the arrests but Manchester City said it was "aware of crowd disturbances at Old Trafford last night involving both sets of supporters". A club spokesman said: "Club officials are liaising with Greater Manchester Police and Manchester United over this situation and will assist with their enquiries." United won the Under-21s Premier League game 4-0 in front of a crowd of more than 16,000. They are currently top of the table and need one point from their final game - a return fixture against City - to secure the title.
