Last year I commented about the lack of publicity re the above, if anyone knows someone with clout can you please get them to publicise these games and then there is a chance that the young and up and coming players just might get some support. I believe that a couple of home matches ago our new intake of young players were introduced to the crowd, not absolutely sure if that is right because we still don't have a sound system that can be heard and understood. Wouldn't it encourage our youngsters if people turned out to watch them whenever we could, Please could these games be advertised a couple of days in advance.
Here is the academy twitter page. Might have info on that about upcoming games etc. I see they have clips of their best goals each week https://twitter.com/roversacademy Some info here about the philosophy the academy uses (a good read may I add) http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/team/academy/ And here is the Academy official site http://www.roversacademy.co.uk/ Here are the fixtures for the u9's - u15's and also u16's & 18's http://www.roversacademy.co.uk/players-area/620-2/ Hope that helps
Can somebody confirm start time for the u18 against Exeter tomorrow and confirm that it is at Cribbs training ground. Many thanks
Kick off 10.30am and it's at Golden Hill sports centre by Tesco. Details in the twitter link above my friend
CJS thanks for the info, went this morning and watched what I thought was a good performance, 1 disallowed goal and 2 by Ollie Mayhew that hit the post. Their no 6 at C/D was I thought outstanding with their no 5 close behind, Shall look forward to future games that I might be able to attend
We were undefeated this season and then you turn up and we lose. You are no longer the 1st team jinx but the u18s jinx
