they've give the back four 5s and 6s when we'd have kept a clean sheet only for Hart.

Gerrard was ****e, Rooney was ****e but scored. Johnson was better.

Cleverly MOTM, Carrick dogshit, Milner ****e, Cole ****e, Defoe pointless.

All round England were ****e as ****ing usual.

Oliver Holt thought Milner was the best player on the pitch <ok>

Donga, seems you have made the age old mistake of taking notice of the press.

Thought Milner, Lescott and Jagielka were the better of the bunch to be honest.

Tired of Johnson being the eternal scapegoat. He's a very good player, adds a lot, rarely makes mistakes, and if tactically compensated for can really trouble the opposition.

How many right backs in the league could not only fill it at left back, but play exactly the same way on their weaker foot. He scored a volley from 25 yards on his left foot vs Gomel, too.

Johnson was brilliant, saved the two useless defenders on several occasions.
The midfield was embarrassing though, carrick, Milner, cleverly and Gerrard.... Useless.

I'll probably get slated for this BUT whilst I do like Johnson, I feel he is the sort of player who will be brilliant for 89 minutes but will make 1 mistake which will cost us the game. It may be unfair but I'll compare him to Arbeloa who is one the most underrated players in the world IMO who was extremely reliable.

EDIT: My opinion is not based on yesterdays performance!

Does a day go by when you are not outraged by something related to Manchester United, one of their players, their manager, their fans...?

    My thoughts on the game:

Hart was good, solid as ever. Thought defense was decent. Jags was better than Lescott yesterday: Lescott lost \ was outmuscled for the Poland goal. Jags looked more comfortable on the ball, too. Cole was okay. Johnson saved our defense at least three times and played very well, best defender on the night IMO. In the first half, Carrick and Cleverley were awful, Gerrard good (but nothing special: got an assist, though, and looked dangerous at corners / freekicks / crosses) and Milner was very average. In the second half, Gerrard and Milner put in similar shifts as in the first half (Milner slightly better, Gerrard slightly worse); Carrrick was still bad. Cleverley was the stand out midfield player in the second half as he had cut out his first half passing mistakes (many, like Carrick) and was actually tackling well and starting to influence the game, too. Rooney was as industrious as ever but never looked like he was going to get a goal unless it went in off his shoulder / neck ... which he did! Below par performance from him, but he did get a goal (regardless of how it went in!). Defoe had a poor game and looked a bit lost: couldn't hold it up against the strength of the Polski defenders / midfield and had definitely left his shooting boots at home.

MOTM: Hart and Johnson. Honourable mention for Cleverly, who -- if he'd have had half as good a first half as he did second (chalk and cheese!) -- would be a MOTM contender.

Just can't agree with your evaluation of Cleverly. Both he and Carrick were useless in the first half. In the second half carrick continued in his poor form but Cleverly left Cole in no-mans-land. Every Polish attack came down the left side. He did not cover, his tackling was poor and his pass selection absolutely useless.

Agree with the left hand side attack point, but don't agree Cleverly wasted his passes in the second half and was one of our better tacklers (again, in the second half, only). The left hand side thing was mostly because the Polish winger was having a great game and was constantly running past Cole (who had a quiet game by his usually consistent standard) and having decent passes threaded through to him (some pretty nice passes too). Overall, Poland were the better team and were unlucky with just a draw.

Thought Cleverly ( a CM moved out left FFS ) was decent. Cole was ****e in the game.

How Sky gave Gerrard a 7 I dont ****ing know. Sky are getting worse and worse. He was poor.

Until hes dropped ( would say others but there no longer around the first team... Terry, Lampard, Rio ) we are going nowhere. Young players, not the next set of older players like Lescott ffs. We need to do what Germany did and just go play the kids, plan for 2018, 2014 is already lost.
