What...? Why? He resigned, and I don't see what he has to gain from this anyway. Surely he can't have a serious case?
"Lambert gave NCFC 3 hours to give permision to speak to Villa. He then resigned. Now want's £2m for unfair dismissal" -Alan Bowkett That's what "hall of fame" member Paul Lambert did. Incredible.
I'm beginning to lose all respect I ever had for that man, he tried to leave twice and the third time we fired him? Bollocks
Is this because he had a clause in his contract saying we had to be given permission to talk to other clubs? Which of course he was not.
On an earlier thread, when PL first walked, someone posted that they had heard a reason why he did what he did, and that this pointed to him NOT being the gentleman that we all thought he was. Is this the case, and PL is now showing his true colours? Will be very interesting to see and hear how this one pans out.
He surely cant claim a penny if he resigned to take over villa......I can understand rodgers with us taking over liverpool but why lambert left you for villa dont make sense....and dont call me surely..
I'm assuming he's claiming constructive dismissal as he we didn't give him permission to talk to Villa. Still a grade A tosser for doing this.
Little bit more from someone who was there tonight on the Pink Un: "Then Bowkett answered the inevitable question about Lambert's resignation. Apparently he flew back from the Isle of Man when Lambert gave him a 3 hour ultimatum to be allowed to talk to Villa. It seems Lambert couldn't wait and just walked. We are taking Villa to a tribunal but the big news of the night was that Lambert is taking us to a tribunal claiming constructive dismissal and £2 million compo!!!! Interesting legal tussle ahead it seems." So as far as I understand it, Lambert is claiming constructive dismissal against us. Which basically means, things at Norwich were so intolerable he had no choice but to resign. And the intolerable incident he is talking about is giving the board, out of the blue, 3 hours to let him talk to Villa. If I've got that right then the guy's a complete c**t and I hope McNally takes him to pieces!
Also, £2m?? Assuming his wages were in line with top players at the club, he can't have been on more than £20k, £30k tops a week. He only ever had a 1 year contract, so I make that £1m, £1.5m tops? What else can he sue us for other than that? There's no way he'd of earnt the half a mil difference in a few extra days/weeks at Villa. But then I'm no legal expert, and he strikes me as fairly shrewd. But McNally seems more shrewd to me...
Wow! Well on the basis of what we know, what a turd, like he needs 2 mil Why do it? He got what he wanted didn't he
I don't understand why he'd bother? He doesn't need the money, why doesn't he just get on with his life?
