Erm sorry but the East was silent today and the noise was all north. Not enough noise from us full stop but North was definitely our loudest section. I sit in neither stand by the way.

The acoustics between East and North is odd. Neither stand can hear each other.

From my vantage point though, I find it unlikely that the East would be louder as they are mostly sat down with pockets of singers, whereas the North is mostly standing, with almost every person a singer.

Well the view on the telly shows that Mr Allam has done you.
The visiting supporters almost always on screen, the home ( singing ) support almost never. I think this also affects the percieved noise and where it comes from.

I took notice today, and the ultras were singing, I could see their hands moving, but there's too few of them and they're too far away for east to hear and the rest of the north doesn't join in with them.

The noise in the north tends to come from the larger group nearer the middle.

I don't know what the ultimate answer is, but it needs a lot more input from wider groups and a number of different options being supported.

The current setup seems to work well for separate chants such as the East stand, North stand one, but it doesn't work for singing all at once in time with each other.

I wonder if it was just so long without a home game. The atmosphere was s**te before kick off. Caravan of Love was w**k with no one joining in. The game kicked off and was flat. They had the ball for a few minutes without the team trying to impose themself on them. Then a dodgy goal. w**k all the way after that.

I imagine its cost but with games being so few and far between at home, play the reserve games at the KC and make an effort to promote it.

We've got the best Hull City team we've ever had. I think the responsibility is with us as fans to do our bit to recognise and support that.

I reckon, if we as fans could come up with something to help the atmosphere and that fits within the current structure of the ground, the club would help where they could, but I think the responsibility is with us to come up with suggestions.

It's not **** acoustics. E1 to E3 was noisy. Previously N4 to N6 was noisy. It's not the stand, it's the noise source.

I put some in a previous thread as starting points for discussion, I'll see if they're still there.

Problem is, if you make a suggestion, some feel it's take it or leave it, rather than the food for thought it's intended to be.

One longer term consideration is to call the upper rows 'singing sections' so that people that want to sit and watch can do so, but lower down. As it is, singers are randomly scattered and can get stared at and barracked by others. It needs to be made clear that singing and shouting is the norm at football.

Along the back would help songs spread.

There was little singing today in the north compared to previous games. The one north stand/east stand fizzled out because there was no response from the East. The one exception when it worked was "We're Hull City" which went on for ages towards the end of the match.

We have a month before Spurs which should give us time to try and get something in place. I think a night in a pub with representatives from the ulltras, N4 (looking to Tigerfiley for names) the East (DMD) and the south east corner, plus anyone else interested would be a start to try improving the atmosphere. We know what the problems are, we should be looking at ways of overcoming them.

The atmosphere was just **** today, in all stands, not helped by us gifting them a goal in the opening minutes.
