Was havin a drink with a mate last night and he told me that he is gonna train to become an ultimate fighter. Not a big fan of it myself but he wants a hand training. His boss in work is a few years older than him and he too does it part time. To me it's madness and he's bound to get a good few gubbings along the way but does anyone know what kind of money they make? Might have to charge the fella a fee.
Dont ask for tips from anyone on here ... Some think ultimate fighting is organising a fight in a local pub car park and then endlessly typing out ****ey threats on the internet!
A few mates do a bit of amateur boxin and get some tidy pay packets. Told the fella to get into boxin but he thinks MMA is safer!?!
while it is foolish to discuss things with medro, im willing to dip a toe in the water here.... mma is safer than boxing - a few reasons not least the brevity of fights there is no money in it except at the very top - ive fought semi pro a few times and you would be better off in a pub band and unless your mate is below 25 he wont make it to the top now - even if he is exceptional
so your friend wants you to help him train? By getting. Greased up for some one on one naked wrestling eh? Always knew it medro
med - not much money in it, at the moment anyway Training is quite good if you into that sort of thing and can get the right fellas teaching you, but quite a few of these clubs are setting up where they train you, if you know a bit then you see they are crap and just trying to cash in on the latest trend Just remember though most of the big names are usually trained in some discipline before getting into this, not just getting into it for the first time Some of these clubs make it sound like you can start with no background in fighting whatsoever. Yeah if you started at 12 or something good rush though, would recommend it to anyone, even something like the semi contact competitions in kick boxing etc.
this i came in from am boxing and still really struggled at 30 - the kb and jj guys find it easiest to adapt in my experience excellent for fitness though - just dont expect to make any dosh other than a bit of coin for bouncing possibly
