Update on my personal situation My wife is broken today. The Russian troops are edging closer and closer to her parents town. To a point now the sirens are going and civilians are being told to find shelter. Where they live it's impossible to hide in any basement and have found shelter in a Local school. I just don't know what to say anymore to comfort her. I try to be strong for her but I have no words to comfort her as nothing I can do can help.
Seeing her sisters child today in a freezing basement in minus temperatures broke my heart. What this bundle of joy ever done to deserve anything like this what's any innocent person done to end up in a situation like this.

it broke me today I'm a strong person it takes a lot for me to shed tears but today seeing what she and her family is going through snapped me in half.
It's like watching a movie and not knowing what is going to happen.
very worrying times in the next few days and I pray to god something can be done to seize the gunfire.
Nobody deserves this especially in 2022
This is pure evil. a mad man on a mission who wants to write his name in the history books How can he sleep at night. How can he look his family in the eyes with Love.

Can't even to begin to imagine what you're both going through, heartbreaking.

Mate... I can't even contemplate what you and your family are going through. I can't imagine much you can do from here but just be there for each other. Its heartbreaking. There's no chance of them getting out at this point I take it?

I sincerely hope your relatives over there can stay clear of any danger and get through it OK.

Horrendous. Heartbreaking. I can't possibly imagine what it's like for you, your wife, her family and the thousands of others affected by this, but my thoughts are with you and them. Hopefully an end is near and one which sees Putin lynched or banged-up for the rest of his miserable life in Siberia.

My brother's family are in the Kharkiv region but I've not heard if there's been any contact today so know what you are going through. Thought with the communications tower hit that may be why but when I see all the videos I worry no one will make it out of there. I hope that's not true though.

I have talked to them in these last few days and urged them to come here get out ASAP but they are afraid. civilian Transport are getting shot at all over. even ambulances carrying sick children to neighbouring Hospitals are getting destroyed.
A couple of hours car ride is taking a day or even more to reach the borders with traffic jamming the roads trying to get out.

Just can’t comprehend what you and your family is going through, it is really insane.

I never though that Putin would be so insane that he would invade Ukraine, it just did not make any sense to do that.

But then I remembered that we are not dealing with a rational human being

Hope they can get in contact with them, not knowing is the worse.

Don’t know what to say. Just get so angry and frustrated not being able to do anything to help them.

My brother has just posted a video from his family about being in a war zone and it's heart breaking. I just only hope they stay safe and can get over here to join us all soon. There is no way out of Ukraine as people leaving in their cars are being shot and their cars stolen. What an horrendous situation to be in.
