Putin has upped the game now. With Kyiv and Kharkiv largely surrounded and the Russian recon units having established where the defences are, they're using a lot more artillery and rocket systems to pound residential districts. They'll be happy to do that and rack up civvie casualties as its exactly what they did to Grozny in Chechnya after getting their arses kicked the first time around (driving tanks into built up areas).
 
If this story is true we may see some serious shyt about to be unleashed on Putin. Its said a convoy of Israelis who were leaving Ukraine has been attacked with devastating results. If true expect swift retaliation against Russia and Mossad going after Putin….

My Wife is Ukrainian. she is very upset understandably. I can't help her at all.. All I can offer is comfort and love. her whole family are dotted all over Ukraine most very close to Kyiv My wife feels very helpless and I have no answers to her questions. Her Dad and Two uncles have signed up to the military in Dinpno and are now ready to join the front line her Dad is over 50. These are very worrying times.
I have talked to them in these last few days and urged them to come here get out ASAP but they are afraid. civilian Transport are getting shot at all over. even ambulances carrying sick children to neighbouring Hospitals are getting destroyed.
A couple of hours car ride is taking a day or even more to reach the borders with traffic jamming the roads trying to get out.

On the basis of if he can't have it, no-one can ?

If he aimed one at the West, he'd be a dead man. The US would aim one at him personally and probably not just one.
If the USA chased down and killed Bin-Laden for destroying the WTC in 2001, how much effort would be put in to chasing down Putin if he nuked a Western city ?
 
Russia will try to hang on to the Ukraine as long as it possibly can, and only retreat when the economic pain is too much.

Just like the Soviet retreat from Afghanistan.

And like the Soviet retreat from Afghanistan, it might well usher in a regime change. This war is costing Russia more than it can afford, it's just a question of when, not if, its economy breaks down.

Sorry to hear that Siddas. The bottom line is you can't do anything, except just support her. <ok> Hope this **** ends as soon as possible.:(

The rouble is now worth one cent, half of what it was worth earlier in the week.
Russian interest rates have doubled.
Russians are not allowed to move foreign currency out of the country and companies who receive dollars must change 80% of it for roubles.
I'm watching a short documentary on RT about the roots of the conflict. They're **** at propaganda.
