Monsieur er....Superrrrorns, I presume that you mean by 'sensible agreement' you want something better than trade under WTO conditions - something approximating what you have now ie. Tariff free access to our markets, and I emphasize markets because, as an EU member state you currently enjoy preferential access to the markets of 50 non EU. countries. You want to keep all the good sides of membership but avoid the responsibilities is that your meaning ? You understand, of course, that nothing can proceed along these lines until you stop using the word 'ransom' to describe our invitation to set out a plan of repayment of outstanding debts. I would also encourage you to stick to these negotiations rather than try to mix them with any prognosis on your side as to the EU's future. Would you like to spell out again what your 'red lines' are ?

I presume from this reply that you have nothing to add ! I am not interested in looking up anything but rather hearing what you have to say, which is, apparently, very little. Almost everybody has slagged off Robbins failed plan. I'm quite happy to trust the ERG Group to negotiate for a sensible free trade deal or sensible cooperation failing this. The Red lines as outlined in May's Mansion House speech should be non negotiable whilst aiming for the best possible deal. Relying on half witted civil servants has obviously failed, now let those with more experience take over negotiations.

Stop having a go at, and insulting, civil servants - you have no idea of the amount of work we are putting into this and the challenges we face from all sides.

You really should study the government's immigration rules on key workers covering non EU migrants. I would expect something similar to cover potential EU migrants after Brexit. There is also scope for short term working visas to cover low skilled jobs.

I read it and gave you the answer. You obviously do not understand how the system works.

Companies are able to apply to a government agency for an overseas applicant if they can prove they cannot fill a vacancy through the domestic labour market. The UK government will be free to decide on the level and criteria on which this system is based. Much better than a free for all decided by Brussels.

The will of the people was decided in 2016, the UK leaving the EU was the result. The losing side has tried many stalling tactics, all have failed so far. The only hope they have is to keep muddying the water.

I see more muddying of the waters being done by the various factions of Brexiteers who cannot agree what people did vote for. You do not want the Chequers deal, but there has not been a viable plan presented by others. They had the chance and pulled out when they realised the holes that existed as pointed out by those who were supposed to be supporting it. The EU are discussing the only thing that has been presented to them. That cannot discuss something that you might want, but no one has been able to convince the government makes sense.

Davis and Baker had a viable plan that was ditched in favour of Robbin's poor effort which has been rejected by all. A fatal mixture of incompetent civil servants and a remain leaning PM.
