http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13124145.stm Seems like the takeover is on the verge of going tits up.
To think, we have you on another thread below moralising about 606-type ****e and then you go post this on the Rangers board? Get this piss-poor material off this board please Mick seeing as though you said you would put an end to it occuring
Have I said anything bigoted? Sectarian? Offensive? I posted a story about Rangers on the Rangers board. Stop your wailing ladies!
It's strange, the whole thing is strange. I'm actually getting quite worried about this Whyte fella, moreso now, after watching panorama last night. I'm starting to feel that it's a case of better the devil you know. And believe me, I've slated Murray for years now. I just don't get where Whyte and Ellis are taking so long or where they are getting their cash from.
Aye, the Notts County thing. Some shady fraudster bought the club off its fans with promises of grandeur, only for the **** to bump everyone and his dog. Re: Rangers. It's not Murray who's delayed it (allegedly) it's the board, made up of "Alastair Johnston and chief executive Martin Bain, as well as John McClelland, Donald McIntyre and former player and manager John Greig." For these guys to put the brakes on it tells me that something is amiss. Supposedly, the deal was to go through yesterday. Why would that board, made up of genuine Rangers men scupper the deal?
Whyte will want to install his own board, so it could be that some of them are protecting their own jobs. I know that Johnston has said he wants to leave as soon as the deal's done, but for the rest of them it could be like turkeys voting for Xmas.
So the talk on 606 is that the Rangers board want to buy the club, hence the delay and hope that Whyte walks away. "The board expect to lose the HMRC case and enter administration, then buy the club at a knockdown price" I hope to **** that doesn't happen.
If Rangers did go into administration (don't think it will happen), would that mean that they would start next season with a 10 point penalty? I think there is something really iffy about this Whyte takeover.
Don't know staggie. I'm on 606 just now, and there is a decent Celtic man talking about the deal. He reckons the reason the Board or Johnstone are dragging their heels is: Could be onto something there. To be honest, I'd much prefer that situation to unfurl myself.
Rangers going into administration would be a disaster, not just for Rangers, but for Scottish football as a whole. It would seriously affect confidence in the Scottish game and damage our reputation at a time when it's hardly held in high esteem to begin with. Not that it wouldn't be funny of course! However, I can't see it hapening but there is definitely something funny going on at the club and it's about time someonce came out and told the Rangers fans waht's going on.
its hardly comparable to Girvans rampant ***** slurs is it I'll put ML as moderator today and you can moan to him every time a Celtic fan posts a link to a genuine Rangers article.
There's even more smoke and mirrors with this takeover than Murray usually produces. Definitely a hidden agenda , either from the board or Whyte.
Girvan Show us one comment from a Celtic fan on this thread that would be deemed offensive or break ANY rules on any football-related website? That's the difference between me and you. I can converse about Old Firm subjects whether they be Celtic or Rangers related without the need to post ****e about child abuse, bigotry, sectarianism or selective pictures and youtube clips.
