Agree. Mutch Daehli and a new dominant midfielder and we will be as good as anything in central midfield next season. Ralls , Whitts as back up maybe Kim as well and we will be strong in the centre.
Out of the 'old guard' Mutch & Noone were the most impressive last season (Marshy apart) & are the two players we really need to hold on to.
I suspect Guido may have been signed in anticiaption of Mutch leaving. I would also like him to stay to bulld a really strong, creative midfield and a good all round squad which we know is essential in the cut and thrust of the Championship.
I'd worry less about Mutch and more about Noone - I'd have him here tomorrow. Mutch can hit a ball that's for sure but his early promise faded a bit imo.
That's the opinion you'd gather from following us via MOTD. Mutch is class and will hold his own in a mid table PL side if he's given the chance. Noone is also quality but his assists/goals stats mean he has a reasonable chance of starting the season with us. I'm certain Mutch will be back in the PL next season though.
Mutch is far better than Noone. Id be suprised if a PL club came in with an offer to take Noone away. He did fade towards the end though.
I can only see us thinking about Mutch if we lose players as imo he's not better than what we have here at the mo.
