Off Topic UFO's, Supernatural & Other Wierd Stuff

Ok it's the international break (boring) so I thought I'd throw this one out there. Are we alone as the Bible says or is there extraterrestrial life out there or here already? I've seen a few references around re alien craft sighted in Mexico. Your thoughts or experiences (not sexual Homey) or are they the ramblings of the tin foil hat brigade?

If the bible is the infallible truth, and it says there's no extra-terrestrial life, isn't that proof that God doesn't exist?

 

I would definitely put @petersaxton under the category of "weird stuff". The Sensible Party qualifies for "supernatural".

 

I'd love to have conclusive evidence of alien UFOs. I think most of us do hence the fascination with sightings.

I was heavily into UFO stuff a few years ago. I used to go to conferences, events and read everything I could on the subject.

My conclusions. There's a lot of stuff that govts around the world don't want us to know, but most of it is military covert operations. There's also some unexplained stuff, but is that evidence ? Not for me, it's just unexplained.

My brother is an air traffic controller. He gets 'anomalies' on radar sometimes, but most of them are quite easily explained after. For example he once tracked a large low flying object over the Bristol Channel, it was making sudden direction changes and then suddenly disappeared. It turned out to be a flock of geese.

Do I think we're alone in the universe ? On he basis of probability, no way. There are probably millions if not billions of solar systems like ours out there. Do I think intelligent alien life has visited earth ? I'm not convinced by the 'evidence' the UFO fraternity has supplied.

There's uncountable solar systems and stars in the heavens so it's fair for people to assume that there may be life like ours that evolved elsewhere in the cosmos. It's also the human condition to be curious and question all possibilities. Simply we do not like the thought of being alone on earth.

Have we been visited before? With only 66 years separating the Wright brothers and the Apollo moon landings. That's quite a jump in technology and knowledge. Did we have help?
