Its not so much the players or officials that are racist but the fans.

Yes I totally agree with you Shiny - the next step would to be to extend it to clubs (i.e including fans), but at least this is a start.

If any fans racially absue our players during a game, I want Marv to lead the team off the pitch

Couldn't see it being tolerated in the lower leagues, Especially in our ground, If the away fans were racially abusing our players and it was clear to hear I have no doubt that most of the eastend would kick off.

I agree though, I would want our players to walk off.

I've heard more racist comments in the last few years than I did through the 90's and 0's

I'll believe that when its being enforced. Saying and doing are 2 different things. I hope it does happen. I think clubs will only do more to punish fans when they are being hit where it hurts. I think they also need to be stricter with players who crowd and swear at the ref, like Rooney did on Monday. It needs to be like it is in rugby, any problems just the ref & 2 captains talking, not half the team

It's all very subtle, nothing overt.

I have only heard a few older 80+ years blokes near us a few years back who have made comments which could be classed as boarder line as dont think they used their words in an offensive manner just what was probably acceptable in their time.

    Main word was darky.

I will also say where is the line on what u can and cant say. Rightly so no one should be abused but is it acceptable to make offensive comments about a person size or being foreign or ginger as i dont think much racist language is used at our ground unless u classified the England chants that you get when playing clubs like Cardiff or Watford (and sheep related chants against the welsh).
