It is a bit unfair that the likes of England, Germany et al play all their group games at their national stadiums. Although understand it because of logistics and sponsorship money, gate receipts etc.
I'm not mad on this new format, preferred it in one country even two at a push, will prove very expensive for the average Joe,take for example if Rep. of Ireland qualify: 2 group games in Dublin 1 group game in Bilbao last 16 in Budapest. That's serious expense and travel which will be the case for most teams.
Group stages not looking good either but you know what I mean,1 country in a camper van or tent, group of lads and that's your summer holiday.
Not sure how Hampden will be with Scotland not looking likely to qualify. To be fair, might not have been full even if they did qualify.
Aye see what you mean, out of that group only English game would fill it but that's in London but at least Trev can get his Croation tap out again.
The runner up of Group E which has Spain, Sweden and Poland in it . Who the **** thought this **** up?
You'd have to be more simple than my mates @Mick O'Toon and @Mind The Duck put together not to go for 2nd place in the group. I like Mick and Mindy (maybe Robin Williams should have named a TV programme after them?)
Yeah, that’s not really the demographic UEFA are pitching for these days. Bunch of lads in a camper van probably won’t be paying hundreds each for a ticket.
