    So the playoffs for both the Champions League and the Europa League start today. The first one is alreasy underway, Celtic away in Kazakhstan against Shakhter Karagandy. Karagandy are winning 1-0. Currently on ITV4 <ok>

    Is it bad that I'm not to keen on seeing Celtic do well in the Champions league? After all the "why would he go to Southampton when he could stay and play in the Champions league?" from the Celtic fans regarding Wanyama.

    Some early scores in the 7:45 kick offs.

    Plzen have scored at home to Maribor, 1-0 in the Czech Republic. AC Milan have taken a 1-0 lead away at PSV Eindhoven, Stephan El Shaarawy with the goal there. Finally, Antoine Griezmann has scored for Real Sociedad against his boyhood club Lyon. They lead 1-0 in France.

    Celtic were absolutely awful today. Without Wanyama and Hooper they look a shadow of the side that they were last season.

    PSV is playing very well...until AC Milan gets the ball, and then they go to pieces.

    Agreed, you could tell Karagandy wanted it more. Celtic will have it tough if they want to make the group stages...

    Would still back Celtic to be honest, those artificial pitches do not help anything.

    Depends on if they get an early goal or not for me. Karagandy will park 10 men if not 11 behind the ball.

    New to both of them too, I think. The Karagandy home stadium has a grass pitch, but they were not allowed to play at it because it does not meet UEFA's standards. So it was being played at the national team's stadium in Astana.

    Zenit have scored against Pacos in Portugal, and Sociedad are leading 2-0 (as an Athletic fan...ugh)

    PSV equalize. Probably won't save them in the away leg, but they didn't deserve to lose this.

    Plzen score again to make it 2-0. Pacos equalise against Zenit, only to fall immediately behind 2 minutes later. And PSV equalise against AC Milan.
