    A*se...

Kind of grateful Barca brought Sanchez now! Couldn't have been much worse bar possibly Rubin Kazan.

I assume you're being sarcastic! Not saying we can't/won't win this as we should be able to but out of all the possibilities there were far easier matches.

Lyon vs Rubin is a bit tasty too!

I have to say, we got life big time. Pretty good fixture for us and a game i can see us winning without too much drama. No more Alexi Sanchez.....

Don't have to beat Udinese at home... and glad we didn't get Rubin Kazan. Still a hard fixture though.

Happy with the draw. Yes it could have been better, but it could have been worse.

We have a decent record in Italy, Udinese have lost Inler, Zapata and Sanchez, the Italian league kicks off a couple of weeks later than the PL so we should be better prepared, and lets face it 4th best team in Italy is hardly a sign of top quality these days.

Rubin would have been a far worse draw, and for me Twente are a better side than Udinese.

I reckon we will beat Udinese but hypothetically should we get beaten by them, how would it affect our season? Could it have disasterous consequences to season or will having less games help us push for the league?

At least our kids would get a run out in the Europa Cup!

Yeah! I'd like to think we'd do rather well in the Europa Cup too if we took it seriously (which we wouldn't).

Still, as much as I whinge I'd like to think that every other team in the draw today looked at the people there and were thinking "anyone but Arsenal/Bayern". One thing is for sure we now have a bloody hard August ahead of us.

We are a team that can beat Barcelona, we shouldn't be intimidated by Udinese. We should take them seriously, obviously, but why the fear?

Don't think anyone is scared per say, just a touch frustrating that out of the teams available we manage to draw one of the best there. Typical with us. As you say though if we approach it in the right way we should be ok. Also, as has already been mentioned, they've been ravaged of their better players.

Just read, no Nasri, RVP and possibily no Fabs for qualifier at home. It makes it more interesting now.....

How will it affect the start of your season playing these ties ahead of games against Liverpool and Man Utd?

It means we will go out against those teams with our confidence sky high off the back of having just slaughtered Udinese. :)

Arsenal just make it difficult for themselves. 2nd in a relatively easy group where they won the 1st 3 games in the Champions League got them Barcelona and an awful end to the season has put them in this position. Losing to Man City in the cup semi-final did not stop Man Utd, but defeat to Bham lead to Arsenal playing badly for the rest of the season. I hope Udinese are not decent at set pieces !!

It is a hard draw but I reckon you should beat them.

They've performed well domestically in the past few years, but haven't really done anything in Europe.

I'm confident about it. The main danger is posed by Di Natale but i'm sure the mighty Silves.... I mean Squillaci will handle him.

So Arsenal have drawn Udinese as their opponents for the Champions League qualifying.

How do you fancy Arsenal's chances?

Arsenal will no doubt be favourites but it could be tricky with the 1st leg being played at the Emirates.
