Another good win today against a decent Colchester side - worth looking at QPRPlayer for Rangers third... a great passing move finished off with a top class finish from Gianni Crichlow. A really positive response to last week's heavy defeat away against Cardiff. Colchester equalised (for the second time) on 82 mins, but the Rs kept on going and got the win. Boys are working their way back up the table... Manning and Bowler look tidy.
"Another good win today against a decent Colchester side.". I hope that's not ominously prophetic. Have you seen where Colchester's first team are in the EFL?
I was wondering how Manning was getting on. How long has he been here now? At least 2 to 2.5 years and he hasn't even sniffed a place on the bench with the first team. When he signed I seem to remember him saying he will give it 12 months to break into the first team. Looks like he isn't progressing much when you compare him to Shodipo and a few others.
Big fanfare when we got him, but no problem taking his time as long as he gets there before the end of his contract......
If he is talented enough, should it take as long as this? I have never seen the lad play so I have no idea how good or bad he is.
He seems to have a good footballing pedigree, that includes some U19 international duty, playing at Mervue United (9 goals in 28 apps), Galway United (4 in 23) and helping them secure promotion by scoring a couple of goals in their 2 match 2014 playoff promotion/relegation victory against UCD. http://www.soccerpunter.com/players/288483-Ryan-Manning As Harry said when he signed him, "he's a good lad". His goals come quite late in this 2014 compilation, but Galway players Vinny Faherty and Jake Keegan look quite nifty at this level, especially Faherty. Also a budding YouTube star I see:-
