Kicked off at 1.00pm Monday Phillips, Osborne, Evina, Feely (c), Lennon, Gower, Cousins, Poyet, Harriott, Stewart, Azeez. It is called the "Development Squad" but for this game I think the emphasis is less on development and more on giving fringe first team players a chance to shine. Interesting that Feely is captain and that Sordell is not included.
Sorry, apparently Sho-Silva started and not Cousins. May suggest Cousins is now pencilled in to start at Burnley? Poyet and Gower will have their work cut out with only two in midfield. The team was better balanced as I originally listed it. Maybe the plan is to see if Harriott and Stewart are prepared to assist with the midfield work. If they cannot cope with it at u21 level not much point in starting them there in a first team 3-5-2.
