http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/q...ouly-reece-grego-cox-osman-kakay-2717120.aspx That Grego-Cox played....but Sandro, Fer, JET aand Poulter did not Some may be injured, but some (Sandro and Fer???) may be being saved for Saturday Possible? Thoughts?
It's Polter. It's always been Polter. It will probably always be Polter. The Queens Park Rangers player of German origin is the one I'm talking about. Who is this Poulter to whom you always, without fail, refer? When Germans Anglicise it is traditional for them to take the name 'Windsor'. Unless you have a special 'insert golfer's name' spellcheck, inexcusable sloppiness, for a scientist especially. In fact, if I didn't know better than to infer anything about anyone from what they write (or say really, it's the same thing one is squiggly and one is noisy), I would venture the personal opinion that it might possibly be classed as ignorant, though probably not in the porcine sense. The only squad member whose name it is acceptable to spell incorrectly is Cole Kepk, Cole Kwepa, Cole Kwekpa....... You know who I mean. Apologies. Especially to dyslexics.
Got me there fair play Stan by the short and curly swirly ..well diagnosed I am dyslexic.....always have been..diagnosed before 11plus (who remembers that???) My spell check likes Poulter more than Polter.... but I will change it, as I was ignorant of the fact....pig-ignorant some would say So back to the question I asked...... What does the u21 team tell us about Saturday's team....any thoughts??
I hope Polter is fit, because despite being by all appearances a great lumbering lump there is something about him I like. Which is hugely hypocritical given my well documented opinion of Mackie, a more compact lump. Obviously the intention was to have him playing frequently, until we kept Austin by mistake. None of the others will add character. Unless it a sort of hairdressers character.
Beth - Congratulations as this is a very intelligent thread. So intelligent infact, that I initially did not comprehend it! My initial reaction reaction was "what the hell do I care about the U21 match when I am worrying and have no idea on who or where, and in what formation we will play this Saturday". However, this U21 match might/could/should give some clues on CR's thoughts and approach to the players match fitness and preparation. So, in response to your thought provoking question, I think: GREGO- COX: must be fit to have played and possibly gaining some match fitness. Could be used on Saturday as a forward. SANDRO: has already played at for U21 so was fit. Was not on the bench against Fulham. Unless he has another injury, I hope that he is training and is being spared to play one of his handfull of games on Saturday. FER: Played against Fulham when he came off the bench for the 2nd half and did relatively well. Hopefully being spared for Saturday. POLTER: I fear he is still injured as had he been fit I would have expected him to get some match fitness. I believe he will not be available for Saturday. In short, what do I think this U21 match tells us - we should see Fer, Grego Cox,and hopefully Sandro play this Saturday...however, this is a bit like reading the message in the tea leaves (or perhaps muddy boots!)
How are they under21?....QPR fc blantently having no regards for the rules again and should immediately be dock 2751 points....Richard keys!
Somewhat the way I read it too...Grego-Cox on the bench, Polter and JET injured....so who is going to play in place of Austin...Chery? Hoillet??? Fer? However Polter (spell check happy now) may be 90% fit and being saved for Saturday Not looking good on the goals front
Would hope to see Sandro in the starting line up on Saturday as he is our best defensive minded midfielder. between Fer and Sandro they must be the best two central midfielders in the league by some distance
I am not sure if Polter will go straight into this match. If this was the objective, I think he would have got a small "run around" with the U21's. As often explained on this forum, there is a difference between "fit" and "match fit". Also, he is young so could play even two games a week., But I hope you are correct, as if he were fit, he would be in my starting eleven. However, I would start with Grego-Cox. I think it is better to play a 90% "match fit" forward than a 100% match fit player "out of postion". Would anyone take a chance with Gladwin?
Really! There isn't anywhere near enough speed in these 2. I know Ale and Derry lacked it too, and they did well enough, but I think it is needed now, the game is much quicker.
I would play Poulter (only joking) and Grego-Cox together up front. Might just be the move that saves CR's bacon.
So there seems to have been another u21 match....Tuesday lunch time http://www.indyrs.co.uk/2015/10/qpr-u21-3-crewe-alexandra-u21-1/ In this Sandro, Fer got run outs (both subbed at 60 minutes...{that looks planned!})...whilst JET played the full time and scored. So what I am taking from this is that Sandro and Fer will start on Saturday (with JET on the bench) PS the readingof these reports....I keep seeing how well Lumley is playing
