Rock hard pitch so lucky we didnt get any injuries...but overall some good play. It was very difficult to play a passing game but we still managed to try and some good goals..We went 1-0 down to a bizarre own goal as a backpass bounced high over Felix Norman into net. Very quick response to 1-1 then great team goal for the second. Young team mainly made up of First year scholars (plus Matt and a couple of second years..second half Barnet tired and we went 5-1 up (I think Tyrese getting 2) before a late consolation from free kick for Barnet..18's and 21's off to Portugal Monday for week long training camp and a couple of matches
Moreirense 1 Fulham 7 (U18) The youngsters far surpassed their older pals against the same club in the Algarve. No match details as yet
Like their elder brothers the U18 team won the second game out in Portugal. 4-1 for them. Likewise though no more information as yet.
The lads made it five games on the bounce with QPR given a hefty 8-1 hammering this morning. You'd have thought the Club might have had something to say about this. But it's emphatic silence.
The U18s are playing in the Aesch (U19) Tournament in Switzerland this weekend. They went 1-0 down in the first Game to Fluminense FC but then beat FC Aesch 6-0. The crunch game to reach the semi-final is against Basle. It kicks off at 4:15 and here's a live link if you want to watch - https://mycujoo.tv/ch/175
Unfortunately the lads went down 2-0 to a really good, strong Basle side. That was the score at half time and while we probably were the better team in the second, albeit a wee bit too physical at times and had a good penalty shout turned down, the Basle midfield/back comfortably controlled the game. Lots of new faces and not exactly sure who played in this game. However the side that started in that terrific win over Aschen was: Ashby-Hammond, Felix, York, Jenz, Kelly, Harris, Pearce, Porteinsson, Garrido, Martin and Santos
The U18s and the U16s both went down to Nottingham Forest at the weekend. However can't find any details and as ever nothing from the Club.
