Pirelli has released a statement giving us the compounds for the next three races: Turkey and Spain: same as for the first three races (hard and soft). Monaco: Soft and Super Soft. Any thoughts on how the tyres will cope? Turkey is a bit of a tyre killer isn't it? Degraded tyres in Monaco will be ermmm fun. ***LINK***
What happened to the Ultra hards? The high tyre wear at Turkey tends to be on the right front (due to the high loads placed on it at turn 8), as it's always the rears that go off before the fronts Pirelli perhaps think they can get away with the hards. Monaco. The super soft is massively quick but falls apart like it's made of cheese. Monaco's quite soft on tyres because of the low speed nature of the circuit, still a bit of a gamble though.
No idea what has happened to the ultra hard they were originally talking about. The teams will have to be careful in Turkey, tip toeing round turn 8 will loose chunks of time.
Very brave by Pirelli to go with softs and super softs. I would have expexcted them to bring the medium compound. Monaco will be a very interesting race.
Marbles from the super softs off line in Monaco... That's not going to end well Your lucky to get away with it normally, but with the added marbles you'll be a goner.
Yea, Monaco, Christ, not much room for error there, could be a few DNFs, it will sort the men from the boys.
