    yes it would be for two reasons i can't see happening
    1. getting someone in the same age with the same talent
    2.pardew getting the whole 35m to spend

    think it would be madness to sell him now but can honestly see him going in the summer

    When Keegan left, the press were all over it before an official announcement was made. The Hughton sacking as well...

    This whole thing just smacks of us...when things look rosey, it all goes down the toilet again.

    Grow up more than Shearer seriously. Players dont give a toss about loyalty no more. Take the money and run. He is far from a local hero , tell that to his bird.

    Devastated- mike ashley **** off and die if this is ture.

    Shows our lack of ambition, a complete striker (no weakness) old fashioned number 9 and a local lad. There is no one like him and in my opinion best st in the world. Brave, passion, bit of pace, great touch, scores alot of goals, assists.

    Absolutely gutted !!!!!!!!!!

    Seriously yeah must be gutting to lose your best player we lost Bent but if Ashley puts the money back into the squad in the summer it will be a great deal. Madness not to accept a 35m fee though your owner knowing him wont put a penny into the side.

    8 hours left in the window, seriosuly going to have time to improve no, we got £12 million for Milner, £9 million for Martins, £8 million for Bassong, and in the time since haven't even spent that amount on players, proving how much Ashley cares, the reason we got back and have done so well is down mainly to Hughton and he got sacked. So not holding my breath.
