Two wins, two draws, two defeats Enough to keep bums on seats, And eight points to show and a mid-table berth Not bad on the Premier League streets And with luck it could have been more Our first defeat deserved a draw, And then against Stoke, Mr. Butland was there To deny us a winning score And only in one game so far Have we been well, well under par, So more than a start we can be happy with Just confirming Neil´s rising star He´s not looked at all out of place Planning each move for those we face, And for one so young with no previous, here He´s certainly proving his case I like how we´re trying to play No more frustration or dismay, Even if we´re behind by one goal or more Our belief is harder to sway And goals too, as yet, are no bind As some thought would be hard to find, From various departments they´re going in With an unlikely top scorer, mind So, grounds for optimism indeed With no signs of ´A club in need´, And great if the old order could changeth too With an odd face up amongst the lead. Absolutely right sir, Alex Neil is proving his worth and we fans are the beneficiaries, we all have to hope that he doesn't get poached too soon!
Excellent RBF. I agree about AN's tactics - defensively well organised into two ranks of four, but ready to break out with pace when the ball is won and who ever thought we'd play with two wingers again (three if you count Brady at LB!).
Morning gents, happily I managed to watch the Liverpool game live on tv here, and I was very impressed particularly with how we tried to play, especially when pressurised in our own half. Considering it was at Anfield, I thought we did remarkably well at keeping good possession and playing our way out of trouble more often than not.
