Having re watched the match on tv today, after seeing it live. My reflections are...... that the quality of both teams was distinctly average. very poor attacking from both teams.. piss poor quality all round. leeds were there for the taking but we lacked the ability generate a knock out blow. The gulf between this stuff and the premier is getting bigger. The fans are voting with their feet..that was the worse first game of the season crowd I have seen for a very long time. A major re think on tickets etc has got to be considered or we will be down to the mid teens if this stuff keeps getting dished up.. what with the manager telling fans "if they don't like it don't come". and players telling fans to "fook off " and the large amount of supporters who don't like the manager, this decline in support was bound to happen, add to that sky pissing us all about and money being tight the FFP rules might back fire totally ....<ok>

I was surprised that was the official attendance.. as always before the match, the manager and players talked a good game ,they were going to dish up a feast.. what we got was an imploded pukka pie, that fell on the floor, the dog sniffed it and walked away..<ok>

    You bothered to re-watch that?

I can't imagine how bored you must have been to think that would constitute as entertainment.

We'd have actually looked quite good if every pass didnt go to a leeds player.

For a team that is supposed to be settled with no new faces, no one knew where each other were.

It was a very poor game. Although it wasn't necessarily two poor teams. The away side did a job on the highly favoured home team.

This is more your problem, not breaking down teams who visit the crisp dish.

We did our job and we are happy with the point. If we have to grind out results like that every now and again I'm happy with that.

Leicester look a very organised and big side that aren't gunna get bullied this season. You aren't a side that looks like they're ever gonna get hammered, but you did lack creativity in the final third just like us. Defences came out on top big time.

Not easily please just realistic. We're still finding our feet with a new playing style, and some new players coming in.

We've taken 4 points from two fancied sides so far. I didn't reckon much to Cardiff at Elland Road last season but they dug out a 1-0 win. It was an awful game to watch though but look where they are now.

There will be more drab games throughout this season, but for us I'd rather take a drab point away from home against a strong team that have a go at them and get beat.

    Points add up....

I suppose your boredom threshold is better than mine then.. Im a bit old fashioned. after a hard weeks work, I like to see a bit of entertainment for my money, I don't believe in the ends justifying the means..<ok> but that's just me..

The word you have omitted so far is 'entertainment' ... which, ultimately, sport is supposed to be ... earlier in the week I took the family to the cinema to see 'Despicable Me 2' which, strangely enough cost me just about the same amount of money as my ticket at the KP (ignoring hot dogs and drinks) ... I'm sure you know where I'm going with this ... might just get the DVD of one of them in due course ...

I still haven't seen Despicable Me 2, first one was good though, and I'd definitely watch that again over that "entertainment" served up on Sunday <laugh>

Don't know about Despicable Me, but this forum is beginning to remind me of another film - 'Grumpy Old Men'! <laugh>

Worryingly, it's not all about entertainment these days, it's about results. Even at the top level, a Mourinho team hardly play the best football by a long stretch, but it's what they had to do when they won the league.

We did dish up some entertainment at home last season, we were the 2nd highest home goalscorers (behind Palace). But ultimately, we're still here...

On the other hand, Cardiff were (joint) 8th and Hull were 11th in terms of home goals scored.

Regardless, it was one game, we're hardly the first team to play out a dull-as-dishwater 0-0. And we won't be the last.

Sorry Jack, but there hasn't been many good performances since January this year, and that, I believe, is the fundamental reason why a lot of people are very downbeat at the moment. <ok>
