Firstly apologies if the mods think this should be merged. Please mods go ahead and do it.
Secondly, maybe I shouldn’t be saying this, given my occupation but I am.
Anyway, after reading the report below, there maybe is a claim for two tier policing.
Surely someone standing on a stage and in front of cameras shouting “Death death to the IDF” should be prosecuted? Yet the local police in conjunction with the CPS, have decided that the criminal threshold hasn’t been met.
Meanwhile, Lucy Connolly, arrested and charged by my former colleagues and probably given very bad legal advice gets 31 months inside. I know she is a cause celebré for certain groups, but to me anyway it does smell a bit.
Rant over.

There are multiple examples of the same thing, in all areas. And it's been going on for some time now.

You only have to see police watching on while the law is broken, even helping them down from scaling up buildings, or dancing with fanatics while they block streets.

It jack booting their way into houses on flimsy pretexts, while at the same time ignoring burglaries, theft and even assault.

They don't even hide it now really.

If you don’t want to go to jail, or have a criminal record, don’t break the law.

SIMPLES!!

There’s too many smart ar$es that think they’re above the law.

Bart
No it is not that simple at all.

The law is broken right in front of police regularly. Palestinians protesters, shouting for Jews to be killed in front of police. Jews being threatened with arrest if they tried to enter their own homes because protesters were blocking access . The same people climbing up buildings and erecting banners, even being helped down by police.

Eco fanatics breaking windows and being shooed away intstead of being arrested. Countless idiots lying in roads causing an obstruction to traffic and not being moved.

The list is extremely long. It is not that simple at all .

There is a difference mind. The IDF are a foreign army. A mosque had already been torched as had migrant hotels who had literally zilch to do with anything, on our doorstep and people here were being targeted. It’s different if they said ‘kill all Jews’ or ‘burn synagogues’. I know some do and they want sorting. Not condoning him saying it in the first place by the way, he’s a knob and it’s wrong, just saying that there is a nuance.
I’ll also add that if love the IDF not to be a thing, they are vile, but as soon as you use the word ‘death’ you’ve crossed a line. Maybe a public order or something would have been appropriate but he wasn’t calling out a riot.

Following the Supreme Court judgement that clarifies woman means biological sex, businesses are reluctant to confirm if they will be following the guidance and preventing men who identify as women from accessing women's single sex spaces.

Following numerous cases of sexual assaults and voyeurism carried out by males in ladies toilets and changing rooms in supermarkets, the Women's Rights Network have been pressuring the big supermarkets to clarify that they will be following the Supreme Court judgement and thus preventing biological males from said women's spaces. They have been completely ignored.

Recently the trans community took offence at a Sainsburys Christmas card with a picture of the Grinch on it and the words "This year I identify as a Grinch" written on it. They claim this is transphobic. The cards were immediately removed from sale and destroyed.

It's frustrating that Sainsburys view biological men's hurty feelings more importantly than the safety of women and children.

Very selective list there.

80+ year old grannies arrested for holding a piece of paper supporting Palestine Action? Or how about jail sentences for those planning to access a motorway gantry to protest climate change?

There's loads of instances of nonsense prosecutions on both sides of every argument. The one true legal principle that should be adhered to rigorously is that if you incite physical violence towards others you should be penalised. That includes the Glastonbury arseholes just as much as the idiot Lucy Connolly.

I agree Becs. It's also frustrating that we as a society tolerate and even encourage "labelling". Frankly i personally hate the whole "i identify as" garbage.
If i get pulled over by acopper for drunk driving can is simply say "I identify as sober" to get off? Seems like thats the way we're heading unfortunately.

Never mind all that, what's your pronoun so I can address you properly <laugh>

Sorry!
