Ok now its over, and to try and keep spirits high lets look back at our favourite moment/s of the last two seasons - I guess there have been a couple at least! Add some little stories in if you have any that will make us smile! Best Moment - for me it was the City game last season. Being there was something special - with both fans singing together, both happy with their 'success' Best Result - Has to be the 1-0 over chelsea at home last season. Everything just clicked that day, everything went right including referee decisions. What a day. Favourite Game - there are a few to pick from i guess but leaving the wins over chelsea aside, its either City away again or Liverpool home last season. Both memorable, both with different results, but both meant so much. Best Player - now the tough question! Townsend this year has to go down as one contender, or even perhaps Helguson as an outside shot from last season. You? Add more categories if you have others that I have missed.
Best Moment - SWP Goal Best Result - Scum away Favourite game - Scum away Best Player - Helguson Best Goal - Loic Remy vs Wigan
Best Moment - Cisse's goal against Stoke Best Result - Scum away Favourite game - Liverpool 3-2 Best Player - ??? Best Goal - Loic Remy vs Wigan
Best Moment: Easy, Cisse scoring against Stoke immediately followed by the guy in the row in front of Brixton and I showing us that West Brom had equalised. Best Result: This is a toughie. The win at Everton last season is a strong contender, after the shattering defeat at home to Bolton it gave us all some hope. However, this season’s win at Stamford Bridge edges it for me. Favourite Game: On the pitch Sunderland this season as we ended up comfortable winners and scored a couple of crackers, off the pitch Southampton this season and the invasion of the IrishRs. Best Player: No one has really done enough over the two seasons, so I’m going for Hill. Yes he has been found wanting from time to time, but he always gives everything, how many of the others can claim that? Best Goal: Tommy Smith against Wigan last year
Best moment - Jamie Mackie scoring at Man City, the most gobsmacking, unbelieveable result was actually on for a while Best result - Chelsea 0 QPR 1 Favourite game - QPR 3 Liverpool 2, the beginning of the great escape Best player - Clint Hill, based on the fact he is not PL class, he's played well above himself and never given less than 100% Best goal - Remy v Wigan, pure class I'll add the worst moment being Wigan's last kick equaliser, the most gut-wrenching moment I can remember for many years...
Best moment. Beating Liverpool last season. Fell on the floor as jumping too much and hauled up by folks around me. Best result. Beating Chelsea at The Bridge. Favourite game. Actually City at home last season. Even though we lost 3:2, we played manificently and were expected to roll over. Best player. It would have to be someone like Traore. Reasonably consistent throughout.
Best Moment: City away last year when news came through that we were 100% safe. Sheer relief. Best Result: 3-2 V Liverpool. The start of 5 home wins on the spin which ensured our safety. Favourite Game: See above. Best Player: Hill or Taarabt. Nobody stands out which is why we've had such a poor season. Best Goal: Remy V Wigan. My heart goes out to all you loyal R's tonight. Keep the chin up and hopefully, Harry can weave some magic in the Summer and this time next year we will all be smiling again.
Best Moment - The Chelsea home win. Best Result - 3-2 v Liverpool. Fave Game - The 3-0 home win v Swansea. The only time I could relax and enjoy a game over the two seasons. Best Player - Clint Hill Best Goal - Remy v Wigan, Unique. Worse Moment - Wigan equaliser.
