I bet we see two new loan signings by the end of the week or one expensive one. Poleon has gone out on loan and Barkley sent back, there is a pattern emerging that we can only bring someone in when a wage is reduced.

Well according to Warnock he couldn't offer Barkley first-team football, that’s despite him being our only creative central midfielder. So why would we bring in another player only to warm the bench?

the Pattern is We bring in a loan with the option to extend for the season Barkley/Delph

Everyone gets excited.

we sell a star Becchio/Gradel

We dont extend but it smooths over the intial outrage.

But your right though, unless Poleon has said he wants to go out for game time & Barkley was never going to stay over the month then its just a little bit extra saved of the bill.

Who the hell are we going to get in thats better than Barkley? Watch him go to a championship team & rip the league up after a few games in the centre of midfield. Still, wont stand a chance if he comes up again Brown so we will be safe <ok>

Totally agree it was all a smokescreen, he was available and we got him, never any chance of him staying longer. The only position we have an abundance of players is CM - Not saying an abundance of talent, just choice - Green, Austin, Norris, Tonge, Brown we signed a loan player in the only position we have plenty of choice, the position where we cashed in on Clayton. This was just a planned move to keep fans quietly excited.

Honestly - If Warnock should be judged on the last 12 months he would never get another job again, did he come to Leeds just to dig the knife in and ruin us further, if it isn't the chairman trying to destroy us it is the manager. How the hell did he ever win a single promotion not alone several?

Damn I should be eating humble pie, I remember taking the piss out of Hull for signing Bruce as their manager and feeling we had the best in the division, how wrong was I.

Not if they get autos they havent! I know its a gamble but so is throwing 2 1/2 & 3 year deals around to over the hill journey men because there 'warnocks kind of players' Or look at Ryan Hall. We've brought him in on a 3 year deal which means he will take about 1 mill from the club & he's not even getting a sniff of the first team, in fact we dont even play football that would accomodate him.

Fricking useless!

Really? Proschwitz, Brady & Meyler are the only real big fees. We've probably spent about £5 million in total. I don't think Warnock would've brought in players of the calibre of Aluko, Quinn & Elmo. I would much rather have Bruce than hoof-ball Colin.

You might know this loan deal lark better than me seeing as your cub utilises it.

Barkley has been on loan with Sheff Wednesday and Leeds this season and he's played for us. Do any of you know whether he'd be allowed to go to yet another championship team or would it be a choice of staying with us or loaning to Sheffield Wednesday again?

This one is so daft, it might be true - he's certainly an old has-been.

Dempsey Walsh ‏@Dempseywalsh
Massive speculation that Michael Owen is joining Leeds on a 3 Month loan deal from stoke, you heard it here first!

Wonder if he knows he'll be a winger?

He's better off back at Goodison to be honest. He'll have learnt nothing from Warnock, other than how to hoof a ball aimlessly. It's a crying shame because the lad looks to be a top talent and it would have been great to give him half a season of competitive football. <ok>

The season has turned into a write off.

I must admit I did think last August we had a squeak of getting up. The main danger now is how much damage will be done to the club as we play pointless games in front of ever dwindling crowds. There is real potential for us to be in such a bad position that the next five years are written off as well. If that even looks like occuring the club will fold.

As for GFH I think even Bates (unless GFH really is Bates) was less damaging. We all understood Bates, no one can fathom what is currently happening in the boardroom.

Whatever the future should be it has to involve major investment in a young team, and no ex player should be brought back. Gradel, Smith, Beckford not one of them will be as good second time around, and some were not that good first time around. As for Owen he is a washed up racehorse owner and not a footballer.

One last thing, if Varney is playing we are ****e....

[h=1]Michael Owen Signs On Loan[/h]By Kevin Markey
Updated Thursday, 14th February 2013

Leeds have signed striker Michael Owen on loan until the end of the season.
The 35-year-old, who is an ex England international, has joined United with a view to making his move permanent in the summer.
Neil Warnock told the club's official website: "He's a player we've had across for a few days and we liked what we saw.
"We had the opportunity to take him on loan and that gives us a chance to have a longer look at him.
"We think he could be an exciting prospect."
Owen added: "I'm very happy to be here. I know about the background of the club and the expectations around the club and I'm happy to sign and start playing."
