I think he's looking towards how much cash he can generate...should get something for Fletcher...Graham will see his contract out out because who the **** is going to pay him anymore than we got rodgered for at the moment. Defoe will put the ball in the back of the net so it would be could we get an offer we couldn't turn down. Pants again...can we get a decent offer for him and bring back Pickford.....think it might be a whirlwind window.....at the moment we don't seem to have a choice...
Looking to generate cash but also to free up space on our wage bill. We need goals if we are to stay up so I would keep Defoe and try everything to offload Fletcher. Nobody would pay more than 2 or 3 million for Defoe now so we won't be getting any offers for him that we can't turn down. If he goes, it's to reduce the wage bill.
I understand he's on $60,000 a year yet he's not playing every game....presumably because of where to fit him in today's modern game. He's not a brick sh*thouse that he can play up front on his own plus his age....not a spring chicken. Maybe the thought Sam could get someone in cheaper that plays regularly and score goals too. As far as the clubs logic....gave up on that years ago....lol. Who else can splash major cash on Altidore, Graham and Fletcher as your strikers for f*cks sake...lol. Love Defoe but think he will get moved on....
