Today was the same as last week. A poor performance but still 3 points. We were great early on, good goal from Clayton and Keogh had 3 chances and should have scored. But as soon as Bristol scored, we were awful. No creativity, no energy and so narrow. We lacked width, because there are too many players playing in the wrong positions. Tom Lees is not a right back - he can put in a decent cross, but really offers nothing on the overlap. Nunez isn't a left winger - he drifts in all the time, making the pitch really narrow. Kisnorbo actually didn't play badly until his sending off. A needless thing to do, that on another day would have given them 3 points. Snodgrass wasn't good. He looks unfit this season, doesn't look too interested either to be honest. Lloyd Sam didn't even make the bench, so we didn't have any wideplayers to bring on when someone with his pace would have been great. Good performance from Aidy White today - probably the MOM. It's so frustrating to watch the team at the moment. We restort to playing the long ball too often - there was one passing move in the first half that led to Keogh getting a great chance that was really good football. We have a team full of ball playing attackers but our defenders can't pass for ****. Howson is so restricted in a 4-4-2 as well. He is obviously been asked to play a deep role, but it's only when he brings the ball out of midfield into attack that he shows his qualities. Play like this away from home and we've got no chance.
Excellent post. Agree with everything said bar Kisnorbos performance, personally i thought he was the worst player on the pitch!
well said kisnorbo is ****e---but the blinkered ones think e is god----our luck will run out fast we are playing dirty or crap---we need genuine tallent----but smurf wont allow it----just keep giving him money he laughs at us and calls us morons---oh well
Firstly: Points are points, I would settle for going up badly any day. Kisnorbo is not the same player he was, it will be interesting to see Lees play at CB whilst he is suspended (with Bromby in at RB). I would also like to see White play on the left of midfield, with Taylor goven another run out at LB.
Points are points, but it's just worrying that the last 2 games have been really poor performances. The lack of pace in the team, especially on the flanks, can make it so hard to find a way through teams.
The team has fight in them, which is a good sign. But fight is no good when you're lacking in ability to play your own game. They were gifted the opportunity to win by the saved penalty and they fought hard and took that opportunity - that is always a positive. Lonergan made his first mistake today, but he's so goddamn good that he'd rectified it within 30 seconds. And people thought we'd miss Schmeichel It is worrying that for a team that not so long ago had arguably the best wingers in the league is now looking like we lack width, all for the loss of Gradel. I don't think Snodgrass plays as well without a decent counterpart on the other side. If Grayson could get that sodding left back position sorted we could have White on the left wing and we'd be laughing. Why isn't Sam getting game time? He's too good to be left out. All so very baffling!
I'd like to see Sam on the right wing - he knocks it past a player and puts in a cross. But when Snoddy plays, he needs a fullback to overlap - which Lees doesn't do.
A win is a win!! We were very unlucky to lose to Boro and Ipswich but we still lost. We have played much better and not got the results we deserved - our performances in the past 2 games could have been better but it's still 6 points from 2 games
we allways fecking lose to low down teams---every other team beat them---not us they kick our ass-------just look at the nstupid games we lost last season--------we should av gone up-------------nothing changes
