This could be a win/win for everyone. Could have MD are RB and DJ as Right wing? I can see Mike being rather cautious in January now so loans would fit the bill. http://threeandin.com/2-fresh-faces-for-newcastle-in-january/ please log in to view this image 2 ‘Fresh’ Faces For Newcastle In January? Newcastle United may receive two fresh faces after reports emerged that Arsenal duo Joel Campbell and Mathieu Debuchy could be on their way to St. James’ Park in January. Both players’ names have reportedly circulated around by scouts and directors with Premier League clubs beginning preliminary preparations for the next transfer window and both players will be familiar names to Newcastle fans. Debuchy was a former player who arrived in January 2013 for £5.5 million and played for the club until his move to Arsenal last season whilst Campbell, who impressed for Costa Rica in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, has been linked with a move to Tyneside in the past. The January window could be the last time Campbell will be available at a relatively good price, with his contract set to expire at the Emirates Stadium next summer. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger when asked on Campbell’s next move said laconically: “We had offers from Premier League clubs to loan him out again but I’m very keen to keep him here.” However Arsenal have recently been linked with a winter move for Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin in January which would undoubtedly move Campbell further down the club’s pecking order. And Wenger believes that at 23 it could be time for Campbell to move on and look for regular first team football after starting just three Premier League games for the Gunners. Meanwhile Debuchy told French media regarding his future: “I need to have several games under my belt to be at the Euros. “You can’t be in the French squad if you play a game once a month or less than that. You can’t be fit, and can’t be mentally focused. And if I have to leave permanently or on loan to play, I will.” Debuchy has previously alluded to his love for Newcastle and would reportedly take a chance of a return if the opportunity came his way, but United have other priorities with a striker and a centre back likely to be first on the list of signings the club will need to make in January. Furthermore Debuchy’s comments in the past where he admitted Newcastle were a stepping stone will not have been forgotten by the fans, and Debuchy may find his love for the club not reciprocated in kind should make a return to St. James’ Park.
Don't really want either, Joel Campbell at a stretch to enable us to move Moussa of the wing and potentially midfield or the bench! Also I wouldnt be keen on loans, again Campbell on a free makes sense
Don't want or like loans. Usually doesn't help us short, mid or long term. It blocks our young players route forward. It helps develop another teams player who we usually don't then buy. In this case wouldn't want either player anyway. Janmaat I prefer to Debuchy and don't think Campbell is any improvement on Perez.
At least this thread should stay clean and on topic. I mean, surely even JPF can't find anything filthy in a simple double entry thread involving Debuchy.
I see Debuchy is 'keen' on a move back to us. He can **** right off. He wanted to bugger off with his pal Cabaye, so for me he's got his cake.
Just buy a centre back and left back. And ball playing midfielder. And striker. ****ing left wing and right back? They are way down our list and these two will never happen.
We could also use a destroyer to sit in front of the back four to go with the ball playing midfielder.
Definitely. We need someone to do the job Tiote did for us yonks ago for 1 season. Ideally in the Wanyama mould i.e. physically imposing but with the class to play passing football.
