On the subject of "refugees". Our government has announced that we would take 20,000, but would give priority to Christian Syrians. Of course, this caused an outcry form the bleeding hearts, so the wording was amended. Australia will take 20,000 Syrian refugees preference being given to families and members of persecuted minorities. Read between the lines. I don't often agree with our Prime Minister, but in this case I find it hard not to.
You're correct Josh, it is 12,000, I'm sure that number will rise though after blind bleeding hearts intervention.
Had a good idea about this housing of refugees. The Libs in this country are always going on about closing schools. How about closing the local primary school in the electorates of the bleeding heart MPs and turning them into refugee centres. Wouldn't the constituents love that. After all, the members are always saying how much empathy the voters have with the refugees. Try moving several hundred of them into their electorate and see how long they last in parliament.
No comment just a question. By this country do you mean the one you emigrated to or from? Any one see a problem with double standards here?
Yes, you're right, Chips. I should have made it clear that I meant Australia, no double standard intended. But think on it, it could just as easily apply the the UK.
None at all to be honest,Brisbane went when there was a skills shortage, and was wanted by Australia,he was no strain on the economy as there is a 2 year ban on claiming any benifits,he accepted Australia's rules and laws and abides by them,he probably didn't go thinking they are all infidel scum who should have there heads chopped off at the first opportunity.
