Both sides tonight have their reasons to fight for the holy grail of 3 points but I think both managers will also be having a secret prayer that the sides come through the battle injury free as a prority. One game last week set the tone for the transfer deadline because of injuries....the losses in the Boro game highlighting the weakness of the Sunderland squad . A repeat of the `Butchers Bill` tonight would be disastrous So remembering last year when we were plagued by a deluge of hamstrings and reactionary `investigations` as to what was wrong with Sunderlands preparation I hope everything goes well tonight and we beat Norwich and the cold.....Minus 6....!!! predicted... Time to get out the Ellermans Rub and the hot waterbottles MON!!!!!..... Cattermole is particularly worrying in that hes a prime candidate for a tweak becoming a tear playing in freezing conditions...just an extra little stretch or turn.....then a month off!!!!(if you re lucky) ......................Sorry to sound gloomy boys....just concerned
Tough game against the best of The promoted sides imo and one of The best up and coming young managers. Unlike QPR and swansea, Norwich under Lambert have a huge plan b in the shape of Grant Holt. They can play football and mix it up a bit as well. Turner isn't everyone's cup of rosy but his physical presence will be vital tonight. Tough yes, winnable? Absolutely. 1 0 to the lads.
I hope so...Maybe its because Im getting older Im just hoping nobody gets crocked....weve got a couple of speed merchants in our ranks...think of our goal against Boro...God I`d hate to see Campbell or McClean pull up.....some games just seem to be "vulnerable " for whatever reason.....We played against Swansea and there wasnt the sniff of a yellow card and I cant really remember a bad injury laden challenge....in the end Its great were a footballing side....Fingers crossed for clean sheets all round
Love night matches even better the fact that I am off work the next few days. Extra pre match gargling time yippee.
Probably just as well Cattermole wasnt involved.....he needs to reign it in sometimes.....(just a little bit hahaha)
I saw the "Good" and was about to start slating - then realised it was a "good becuase we don't want him any worse!!!" - completely agree - better he misses 1 or 2 games now than 6 or 7 over the next month or 2!!
surely catts and vaughan can't be risked so this is what i reckon Mig Bardo O'Shea Turner Richo Larsson Gardner Colback Mcclean Sessegnon Campbell subs: Westwood, Bridge, Meyler, Elmohamady, Ji, Wickham, ? can't think of anyone else who's fit and our best youngens are out on loan, anyway i'd go with that line up
Nice one....Isnt it nice to have a kind of settled feel to it ...I read somewhere somebody was saying Bridge straight in and I think that might be a mistake...nice and easy does it all the time....
A half fit Bridge is better than a fully fit Ricco. We need to stop the ball reaching our box with Norwich's attack, something Ricco has never done, he doesn't close down, then he just turns round and watches where the ball ends up.
All right Where!.....Aye gradual change building up confidence...MONs good at that....I tell you what I think he will be doing...just nice and simple.MONs criticism about the Boro match was that we started slowly...I hope he`ll be concentrating on a good quality warm up and a high tempo start this time.... I think this game could be won or lost in the warm up inside the SOL and how we start....
